you're not really quite SURE what to say
it's one of THOSE situations where they expect you to answer "why did you do this?"
you don't really know WHY you did it
well you do, but they won't believe you
so you give them the best answer possible
"i don't know." the words as blunt as the bat they trusted you with
they sigh, you know why. they weren't REALLY expecting a coherent answer from you were they?

3RD PERSON POV
The headmaster looked at Teri's parents, his eyes practically begging them to sort this out. This was serious. He knew it, they knew it, everyone knew it.Bursting out in the middle of the lesson and almost smashing another student's head in with a rounder's bat was not expected to be met without serious consequence.
He directed his attention to the other member's of staff and her parents, it was obvious that Teri wouldn't co operate with them. She didn't seem phased by what she had done, she was staring at the floor, her long blonde hair was covering most of her face. Her dull green eyes were still visible, they showed no signs of life.

TERI HOMESTUCK POVgood, they're not listening.
you look up at the door. you COULD make a run for it. but there's no POINT. they'd catch you, eventually.
you think you're quite good at rationalizing situations.
but then you think back to what happened half an hour ago
you rethink THAT one
they're discussing your punishment but you don't fucking care anyway.
while most people would be a LITTLE shaken by beating up another student with a bat, subconsciously you couldn't FEEL anything. no regret, no sadness nothing.
you consider calling yourself a SOCIOPATH. but you're not. you have SOME emotions.
you're just unable to feel regret.
you began to feel UNCOMFORTABLE
no one has ever payed THIS much attention to you
you look at the digital clock, perched on the desk on the other side of the room
5:17 PM
you stare into space some more, trying to think of NEW ways to get out of the room.
but where would you go? you're not sure
you ponder at the thought of escaping the country to claim asylum somewhere else.
you know it's a bit drastic, but drastic times call for drastic measures. this was certainly a drastic time, was it not? or your name isn't TERI MANF- wait.
but where would you go?
....
....
sack it. you eventually decide what to do
you're running away.
okay. perhaps running away from your problems isn't the best solution. you see, it gives you the feeling that your problems are gone. but they're not. they're still there. and all the while, growing more and more problematic. so instead you decide to
run away. seriously, at this point in time, just the feeling of your problems melting away is appealing.
you've got yourself into deep shit and you're sure, the more you keep running. the further your problems are gonna have to catch up to. perhaps you should've pondered more on the fact that by running, you're eventually gonna run smack into a wall. namely, this is called FUTURE CONSEQUENCE. but you don't care to think about FUTURE CONSEQUENCE.
problem free lifestyle, HERE YOU COME
you bolt for the door.
