Burning.. I'm burning! My skin is being eaten by flames, the smell of my flesh and blood makes my stomach quench. Help me!

"What did I do?" Grey is no longer holding me and the smell has vanished along with the pain.

"I was burning. You were burning me." I accuse him without wanting to but I felt it and it was real. His hand touches mine and the scalding heat makes me yank it away.

"How could I burn you?" He looks as if I punched him.

"You burn me when you touch me. Don't. It hurts." These words are flowing from my mouth and I can't bite my tongue. I don't want to in a way. I never want to feel that again. What are you doing? I am saving you the pain. By hurting me? This boy is a danger to you, you know that. I have shown you. He's a danger to himself!

"Laney, what's going on?" Daisy is asking me that question, but I can't focus enough on it to make my lips move. Give me my voice back. Only if you use it for what is best.

"You need to go away from me. I'm sorry..." My throat is hurting and i feel as if I'm breaking as he gets up without another word and climbs down the bleachers, jumping dangerously from seat to seat. "Grey-" Damn it, stop! I beg you. What happened to free living as long as I hurt no one? That also includes yourself.

"Why did you make him leave? I think you really hurt his feelings." Because my Goddess held my tongue and took my will from me.

"I didn't. She did." I'm as befuddled as Daisy's facial expression. I scan the room and find Grey sitting with a group of teenagers who seem to be having an exclusive conversation. I can tell it's Grey just by the short blonde hair that no one else has, his jacket also helps.

"I think you're wrong. Look." I feel the hair on my neck rising as I meet a redheaded girl's striking silvery eyes. I shake my head and glance again. They're blue... not silver. No one has silver eyes.. that shine that bright. I'm becoming more disturbed by her, especially when her lips pull back from her teeth to reveal shark like rows of them. A mavor. Don't look at her. Isn't it too late for that? A mavor is part vampire and part werewolf. These are only said to be myths. They feed like a vampire, but will usually eat their victim as well; it's a part of the wolf in them.

"Did her eyes really just glow??" The red-headed girl stares at Daisy and I move between them instinctively.

"It must have been the light." I say this to throw Daisy off from the mavor and the mutated being turns from us.

"Don't lie to me Laney. I know what I saw and you did, too." Glancing up at Daisy for a millisecond is a big mistake. She isn't looking at me, rather something behind me leaving a pitch black shadow over me.

"I'm not sure we've met. I am Eclipse." Her voice is strong and I feel her crouching behind me. All the muscles in my body are tensed at having such a terrible predator at my back, leaving me vulnerable.

"I'm Daisy. This is Laney. Are you new?" Hello, Laney. I control the shiver that begins at my neck before I let my fear show. I smell it. GET OUT OF MY HEAD, NOW! I stand up fast as lightning and turning to face her. She's gone.

"Explain what that was or by whatever God there is I will personally kick your a**"

"Chill. I'll tell you, but you can't say anything to anyone else about it, okay?" She agrees, so I tell her. At first she's sceptical but eventually I think she somewhat believes it. "It wasn't Isis telling me to stay away from him, it was her."

"How do you know?"

"She spoke to me telepathically." Again, she has to accept something she's heard of but never truly believed was a real thing. There's not enough time to let her into this slowly.
