Chapter 2: Shane

<Shane's POV>

Luna stays still for a second, her lips unmoving. Her eyes are shut closed. It seemed like an eternity before she starts to kiss back, her soft lips pressing against my mine.

I pull away after a few seconds. I look at her big blue-yellow eyes. She smiles and scoots closer to me. I know we should probably stay and talk, but Alpha is growing more impatient.Why is he so antsy? He's never seemed this worried.

I slowly slide away from her, a confused look is flashing across her face.I wouldn't blame her. I would be confused too.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I better get back in case the party gets too nuts." I lie. I'm just hoping she doesn't notice or question.

"Okay..." She quietly says avoiding my eyes. She thinks I'm ditching her. Great. I finally kiss the girl I've been dying to reach and she's already mad at me.

She stands and turns back to the house, embarrassed as if she thought I didn't really mean what I did. I can see a tear rolling down from her eyes.

If there was a sound made when hearts broke, you would be able to hear mine. I really didn't want to leave her after something like that happening.

I made a decision. I call out to her and she turns around. As she does, I pull her by her hand closer until she is right in front of me. I then proceed to pull her closer by the hip, and I go in for another kiss. This time, I make sure she knows I meant it. I kiss her deeply and passionately, I can feel her cheeks burn, and her tears turn into shock and surprise, then happiness.

I pull back for breath and I look into her eyes. A smile is pulling at her lips. I really want to stay with her, but The Pack comes first. I hate to do this. I vow to myself this will be the only time I do this.

Before she knows what's happening, I have my fingers pressed against a pressure point in her neck. She falls limp in my arms, unmoving. I gently lay her down on one of the blankets, making sure to give her my own coat for warmth. She won't be out for long, but long enough for me to get away.

I sigh and begin my walk toward the vast forest. I know I'm REALLY late, Alpha will have to deal with it.

As soon as I'm out of sight, I shift, letting the wolf take over. Colors become distorted, my vision gets sharper. My skin feels warmer as my grey fur wraps around me. Smells around me become overwhelming. My ears ring as sounds come easier. My muscles ripple and become stronger.

I shake, my ears shaking with me. I stretch and my tail shakes. Here we go. Time to face Cranky Alpha, also known as Luke.

I start at a slow trot, but my speed is greater by the second. Things around me begin to blur and become just flashes of green and brown. I hear small animals running away from my fast run.

I see it ahead. The Clear. I slow to a trot as I go into the large ringed clearing, the moon glinting off my grey fur. About a football field ahead, I see Alpha and the other seven gathered around him, including Lykos. I shake my head smirking and walk over to them.

All their heads turn toward me, Alpha the only one not trying to contain laughing. He's obviously pissed at me, but I don't even care right now.

"You are late, Shane." He says sternly.

"Duh." I spit back, and Ruby, the newest, lets out a small giggle. She's not very old, fourteen at the most.

Alpha steps toward me, a look of anger all over his face. "Why were you late? I mean if you know you were late, they why were you?" By now I'm sure the other wolves here will explode with contained laughter soon.

Lykos speaks/yips. "He was out smoochie-smoochie with his girlfriend!" Everyone starts letting their laughs out, almost dying from oxygen loss. If I was a human right now, I'm sure my cheeks would be red.

"Shane, The Pack comes first. You know this." Luke ruins the fun of everything. He knows I'm only ever late every once in awhile. Okay maybe a little more often than every once in awhile.

I sigh. "Sorry." is all I say. When he turns around, I roll my eyes. This is going to be a long night of guard duty.

Luke turns to Ruby, her scarlet fur looking like it's on fire in the moonlight.

"Ruby, it's your turn to go find a new recruit." He smiles lightly.

"But it's my turn tonig--" I start to say but Luke flashes me an angry look.

"Yes Alpha." Ruby says to him before sticking her tongue out at me before disappearing into the night.

<Luna's POV>

I don't know what to do. My heart beats hard in my chest. It takes awhile before I gain control over my body and start to press my lips back against his.

He pulls away from my lips, looking me in the eyes. The guy I've been crushing on for so long just kissed me. It makes my head spin. I smile and I scoot closer to his warm body. The next thing he does almost makes my heart shatter.

He scoots away from me, a sad look on his face. What is he doing? Didn't he just kiss me? I feel like crying and yelling at the same time.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I better get back in case the party gets too nuts." He says to me. I don't know what to do.

"Okay..." I say quietly, looking away from his eyes. I hear him sigh.

I stand up and start to walk back up towards the house. He said he has to go back into the party, so I might as well go at least sit in the car while I wait for Lydia to stop hitting on guys. A small quick tear falls from my eye.

He calls my name, the tear falling to the ground. He grabs my hand and pulls me closer until I'm in front of him. He then pulls me by my hip, his warmth enveloping me when he gives me another kiss, this one deep and loving. My cheeks heat up at his sudden affection. I smile into the kiss and the tear trail on my cheek dries.

He pulls away and draws in a breath. His happy face turns to one of sadness and I feel a sharp pain in my neck. I can't scream out, I can't move.

Then everything goes black.

WELL THAT WAS SHIT CHAPTER. I'm so sorry for this. Srsly it was horrible XD

I'll try to make the next one better mk? This one is also kinda short...whatever
