Ruby's POV

we heard a howl.

" I have to go,"Lidia said.

I nodded even though I hated seeing her go.

Once she has left I head to my car. I open the door and debate on going home. My parents would beat me if I awaken them.

I eventually decided to go to my house. I pulled over a block away and walked the rest of the way. The cool night air brushed my skin.

I walked up my driveway,and found the spare key. I opened the door slowly. A disgusting stench filled my nose.

I looked over my shoulder. Spotting my drunken father,Arden. I rolled my eyes and crept upstairs. Just when I reached the top step he woke up.

" What do you think your doing," he called.

"Going to my room," I replied fear instantly washing over me.

"Fuck that," he roared . Stomping up the steps. I started running but he got me by the hair.

he started dragging me to the couch. He pinned me down roughly and started choking me.

"Have you been whoring around," he spat.

"no," I croak.

He kicks me in the ribs and breaks one.

"lies ," he said.

" I have a boyfriend," I scream.

Wait,I don't have a boyfriend. All the memories of the day comes back.Alec is an asshole. Morgan has him.Lidia is back.Lidia is also a wolf. I'm in agony.

Wait, agony. The numbed pain comes ferociously to my ribs. I try scrambling away. No such luck. He rams his glass beer bottle at my cheek.

I cry out in pure pain. Hot,sticky red liquid trickles down my face leaving stains on my crop top.

My mother, Stacy comes running down.

" some people are trying to sleep," she yells. Her gaze falls on me, disgust radiating off of her.

"Finish that THING up in the morning," she says.

" Go to your room," Arden yells at me.

I clumsily get up and leave the room to mine.
