Fantasia's POV

The next few days I woke up drained, put minimal effort into my appearance and even less into my school work. Friday was no different. I half heartedly did my usual beauty routine  and got dressed in a blue sweat shirt, black jeans and black vans. I put my hair in a braid and put some eye liner on but that was about it.

At school, everyone was buzzing about the party Rachel was throwing that night, even Carrie was into it but I just didn't have the heart. I stayed quiet, like I had been the last three days, just thinking. The week had been a blur and today was a fast blur.

The final bell rang and I met Brandon out side by my car. He looked so good with his large football player frame leaning against my black hood. His shaggy brown hair and his light grey eyes just popped. Its weird, when I first met him, I wasn't very attracted to him. He was no where near my type but I couldn't resist his charm and humor.

You what they say, 'an attractive man will make you fall in lust but a funny man will make you fall in love'. I wasn't in love with Brandon but I did love his company.

He engulfed me in a hug and kissed my forehead. "So, you ready for the party tonight?" He asked with a smile.

Party? OH! Yea, I almost forgot that party. Damn. I forced a smile, "Yea. Everyone says it's gonna be great." The enthusiasm was fake but of course Brandon never realized those things, instead he just kisses my head or cheek and continues the conversation.

"I know. I can't wait. I have to go to football practice tonight so I'm gonna be running a little late. I'll see you there?" He asked.
