A young suited man on a pipe chair in the middle of the room was a typical site for the 2 employers to be seeing from a distance. The young man didn't know either to feel uneasy or comfortable because it was also typical for the suited man, me, Arata Kaizaki, to be sitting on that same old pipe chair which squeaked every time I fidgeted. Not that I stood out from the other job hunters, nor was I talented enough to inspire the employers. From my perspective I was finely dresses to be looking like a fine business man. Nothing else or nothing more.

"Ammm, Mr Arata Kaizaki," the icy voice of one of the employer went through my ears. "You are amazing! Two year gap of university. You have the guts don't you?" he asked with a sarcasm.

I tried to speak loud to show no alarm but failed with my voice being louder than I expected to be. "YES... sir! I have confident." My voice shook inside my throat, having difficultly to make my words clear. "If I decided to do it once, I will take the responsibility to do the—"

"But wait," another employer suddenly interfering as he lifted my resume. My heart sank as my eyes wondered about. I felt the rush of blood going through my brain. I knew what was waiting to come out of that mouth before the damn employer mentioned it.

"Why have you quit your company you went in after the university graduation in just 3 months?"

Seizing my knees strongly, a sudden rush of past memories came in to my head. Now what? I decided to calm myself down and with no doubt I spoke immediately with my mouth moving. My prepared excuses I had made all this time.

"That...! That was to change my career direction. I thought there were more other places where I could be more helpful. I also have the ability to determine and take action to do what I want to do. Thanks to my decision, now I got the chance to see this new fabulous company." I had only few oxygen left to convince them and my sweat didn't take any break. "So this is why and I am not regretting my decision making."

Although it sounds like a lie, all the things are mostly true. I never liked the first company, I didn't regret a single bit of my decision. This is weird to say it myself but, I was just really honest. Not like I wanted to quit a job for no good reason.

My last words floated in the stiff atmosphere. I smiled awkwardly as best as I possibly can seeing that the employers looked to each other with a confident. They smiled back leaving him with a slight achievement in his heart.

***1 week later***

The sunset gleamed in the afternoon sky. It was the colour of a black currant juice lightly tinted as it went farther down to the ground. While the sky was having fun painting with the sun, I was white eyed like my pupils got taken by his darkness. Fantastic 6 in-a-row failed result from the job interview was a great description of why I was practically dead.
