Yvonne looked into the mirror and twirled a strand of her hair. It was growing a bit too long for her liking. She knelt down and reached for a box under her bed. The box that contains all her savings in it.

Taking some of the money, she changed into a more acceptable outfit and slipped on a pair of white Converse. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun and she had a pair of sunglasses framing her eyes.

She walked to the salon nearby and pushed the door.  "Yvonne darling it has been so long since you last visited here!" A woman with a slender body squealed while hugging the life out of her.

"Martha hi," Yvonne greeted chuckling. She felt as if Martha was her second mother. Martha was always so sweet and caring towards her, Sometimes, she would bake cookies specifically for her.

"The usual haircut?" Martha questioned with a smile still intact on her face. Yvonne nodded in reply. As per usual, a cup of black tea and a few magazines were prepared for her.

A song came on the speaker and Yvonne couldn't help but feel intrigued by it. What supposed to be the chorus of the song sounded very relatable in her mind.

"I don't give a fuck about you anyways.
Whoever said I gave a shit about you?"

Suddenly she felt her body going back in time. Flashbacks after flashbacks started playing in her pretty little head. The way they treated her like a trash. The kind of trash people kick on the sidewalks.

The amount of times her heart was stabbed over and over. The amount of tears she's spent over them. The countless times of punches and slaps received. The number of people who just didn't care about her. She couldn't handle it.

"You know I give a fuck about you everyday.
Guess it's time that I tell you the truth."

She reached her breaking point.

A/N

There wasn't much going on but this is just what's going on with her mind. This is a mild chapter where you're not supposed to feel sad but if you do, lol. The song is Play Date by Melanie Martinez. I legit wrote this chapter just to slip that song somewhere. I mean I can't get it out of my head if I don't. Bye :)
