When I decided to head over to Jamie's house this is not what I was expecting. I just wanted a few pictures of her, not this whole commotion. Someone else is her besides Jamie and I don't even know where she is.

"Jamie!" I yell, "Jamie, come back!" This is useless. I decide and take after the intruder's path. I duck down alleyways and between buildings, dodging pedestrians. I turn this way and that not knowing where I am heading or where I am going.

Everything is starting to look the same: grey houses, brown lawns, and just an overwhelming stench of filth and grime. I try to start backtracking and get back to Jamie's house but get nowhere fast, but I still run. The last time I ran this fast was with Sarah.

It was the day before Sarah's death. We were around our yard playing tag. She was in a little pink and white stripped dress running around the multiple trees scattered through the plot of land. I would tag her then she would tag me. You would think that it would get boring after a while but no it was our favorite game.

"Parker come get me!" Sarah yells from behind a tree. I could imagine her smile hidden behind her tiny hands. I got on my hands and knees approaching the tree like a tiger. I could hear her trying to stifle her giggles, but its no use I had her trapped.

"ROAR!" I leaped at her . I tickled her until we were both laughing on the ground. She tried to get me back but its no use. I over powered her.

"Uncle" she exclaimed, "Uncle! I give up!" She did saw she gave up so like a good big brother I let her go and took off. After all, she was "it".

She was a determined little girl. So she took off after me zipping through the trees after me. I felt bad for her so I slowed down a bit to at least give her a chance. I didn't hear her behind me. I turned around to see her behind a tree, not standing but laying down. I only saw half her body. She looked up at me with her teary eyes.

"What's wrong?" I ask. She didn't answer, she only looked up at me. I circled around the tree to see a big gash on her shin with a bone sticking out of it.

When I finally give up I bend over to catch my breath and shake my head to get me memories out. When I see a flash of blue out of the corner of my eye I look up and see a man in a blue hoodie, black shoes, and sweatpants running away from me. I take one more breath before I take after him.

I chased him for six blocks towards the downtown area. A few times he had tried to throw a garbage can or two in my way but I dodged them. I was never so focused so determined my eyes were glued to the back of that dark blue hoodie.

I was gritting my teeth and pumping my arms back and forth slowly gaining on him, both of us bounding over cars and pushing people. I was on his heels. I lunged for him with outstretched arms and took him to the ground. I pinned him between my legs and picked up a fist sized rock just to the right of me and held it above my head aiming it at his.

He struggled beneath my grip. I am slightly taller than him while he has a little more muscle than him. I knocked the hood off of him and noticed the sandy blonde hair and grey eyes. His nose was a little to long for his face which was covered in freckles and blemishes.

"Dionte?" I dropped the rock behind me slightly letting go of his arms. What was I supposed to think of this?

"Hey, Parker," he had a smirk a mile wide on his face.
