How does love play out between two strangers with clashing personalities? The cliché statement would be “opposites attract,” but what if the attraction becomes the root of the pain? Are you strong enough to walk away? Do you have enough faith to stay? What are you willing to risk? Are you willing to risk the dreams and goals that you’ve been striving for? Will you realize that your dreams are stronger than the attraction?

“Summer, please tell me you’re awake and ready for a run?” Serenity asked.

“I’m sorry but I’m way too tired to go for a run,” Summer apologized to Serenity. Deep down Serenity knew that Summer would flake on her, but still called her anyway in favor of the probability that she would go for a run with her.

While running at the park Serenity sat on the bench to take quick break. While sitting on the bench she couldn’t help but daydream about getting accepted into a prestigious med school. Every day she would ponder on her thoughts about things involving her future.  Her whole life consisted of the how’s and when of her dreams and goals. So you can only imagine the efforts and chaos that has stirred her life.

Snapping back into reality she stood up to get back to running but paused and noticed a familiar face running. Every morning-run she would notice a particular guy running, and can’t help but think how good looking he is but would brush it off. While running, the guy felt like someone was staring at him so he looked around and saw Serenity staring at him. Serenity noticed him looking and immediately felt flustered so she looked the other way and continued to run.

When she got home breakfast was already prepared by her mom, Mrs. Roberts. She decided to take a quick shower before joining her family for breakfast. Once she got done from her shower, she sat down next to her little sister, Zoey. “Hey Serenity, do you think we can go to the park today?” Zoey asked. “I just came home from the park, is it okay if we go somewhere else to play or hang out?” Serenity replied. Zoey thought for a brief moment about where she would like to go instead of going to do the park. Mrs. Roberts suggests, “Why don’t you girls get some frozen custard from Nielsen’s since it is so hot outside.” Zoey’s face lit up in excitement and said, “Yea Serenity! Can we please go there?!?!” Serenity cleared the table and stood up and said, “Alright let’s get going then.”

When they arrived at Nielsen’s Zoey instantly looked at the flavor of the day and knew she wanted to order it. While Zoey ordered birthday cake, Serenity decided on plain and simple vanilla frozen custard. Serenity and Zoey decided to stay and eat their frozen custard at Nielsen’s. The sound of the bell on the door caught Serenity’s attention and could not help but look at who entered. To her surprise in came the guy she always sees running at the park.
