You sit up with a gasp and realize that you're in the back of a pickup truck. Your throat is already Parched from the hot sun. Yawning you also realize no one else is in here with you. There is a door in the front of the carriage. You walk over and hear a commotion coming from the other side of the door but there is no key.
You scour the room which you didn't notice until now that it's full off crates. Finally you find one with a shifty looking key in it. You unlock the door with your key and give this room one last look.
"So long slovenly room."
Inside the next room a whole army is talking and laughing.
One of the more official looking ones noticed you and said, "Welcome back soldier 21234"
"What is our mission commander?" asked soldier 60606.
"There is a base set up by an Immoral group off to the north. Our mission is to meddle with them and raid their base. It should only be a very minor skirmish but keep on your guard at all times. We are in destitute for water so find any of that and you can steal it," said the commander.
As you're getting off the truck and getting onto the battlefield (after grabbing your gun of course) you count and realize that there are only about 100 troops. In your head you decide this most only be a snippet of the country's actual army.
You charge into battle with your gun blazing and are finished the battle in a mere half of a hour. You get to the Military base and realize nobody found a key to open the locked door. You'll have to improvise. You grab a bent plastic straw off the ground (don't ask why it was there) and use it to pick the lock until it clicks.
"Where'd you learn that one soldier 21234?" asked soldier 38063.
"Books," you answer as you open the door.
Darkness oozes out of the doorway like ink and swallows you instantly. With an unearthly sound you're sucked into your next dream.
