Chapter 3 - The Bet

You opened your eyes and realized you're in a game-show room! You're behind the desk that displayed the number $800. The two other people have $9000 and $50000! The game-show host turned to you and said "Ok little Billy! Spin to win! Land on the gold to win one MILLLLLLLIIIIOOOONNNNN DOOOOLLLLAAARRRSSSSS!!"

Okay. You think to yourself You can do this me. All I have to do is spin hope and have a little luck.

You spin the wheel. It spun round and round and round. Finally the stick landed on the gold square!

"You just won ONE MILLLLLIIIIOOOONNNN DOOOOOOOLLLLAAAARRRRRRSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" said the game-show host, "Now you can keep the money and leave or risk it all for double."

"Ill go for it!" you yell.

What was I thinking????  You scold yourself. I could've taken the money and left a millionaire!

The host showed you to a green room with three doors. 

"Now," screamed the host, "If this young man can choose the correct door he will win TWO MIIIILLLLIIIOOONNNNN DOOOOLLLLLAAAAAARRRSSSS!"

The crowd went wild screaming and hollering and betting whether or not you would guess correctly.

Now just think. You chide yourself. Its just a game. Its only $2000000 on the line. The right one is always to the right so...

You are about to open the right door when the game-show host whispers to you out of the corner of his mouth "It's not that one."

Surprised you try the left one.

"It's not that one either."

You open the middle door and find a box with a stamp on the front labeled: YOU WIN!

"You just won TWO MILLLIIIIOOOOONNNN DOLLLLAAAAAARRRRRSSSS!!!!!!" shouted the host.

It was literally raining money. Instead of just getting a $2000000 check. It rained two million $1 bills!

It was most definitely the happiest day of your life.

"Thanks for playing and have a spectacular day!"

One of the bills was black.

You reached out for it and the second you touched black octopus tentacles erupted out of it and swallowed you in inky darkness.
