Sleeping peacefully, Tori clenched on tight to her pillow as she continued to keep her eyes closed. As the day slipped into the afternoon portion of the day, Tori knew that if she woke up, shed had to endure what came along with them having the career that she had. Interviews and her performance at the Radio Disney Awards, Tori knew it'd be a full slate of work before she'd see her bed again. Feeling the movement of his arm that was on her waist, Tori wore a smile on her face as she didn't have to worry about it all being a dream because it was very much a reality that she could wake up to. Suddenly feeling the sensation from the kiss that he placed on the back of her neck, Tori quickly turned to face him in the bed.
"Good morning" Tori said after she leaned in to kiss him
"Good morning" Chris replied still half asleep as he took her hand in his
"This can't be real" Tori smiled
"It is, very much so" Chris told her "Actually feels good to not have to worry about us crossing a line, we can just be natural" he said
"Yeah" Tori said "I didn't expect you here when I got back" she admitted as she played with his hand
"Really?" Chris asked "I mean we were going to hang out, I wasn't just not going to see you at all" he said
"Yes, but the intent was to hang out the whole evening and attend this dinner party" Tori said
"Which was basically a test" Chris laughed "I don't understand why girls give guys underlying messages on top of the message they're giving he joked
"I was not!?!" Tori protest protested as she tried not to laugh but found it hard to do so
"You were, you so were. I Da Vinci Code you" Chris replied "This wasn't just a dinner party" he said as he made air quotes around what he was saying "This was like the set up to the conversation that we were supposed to have, in which we talk about feelings" he said Tori laughed "It was, just admit that" he stated
"Okay, I may have wanted the night to go something like that" Tori replied
"You even got a new dress and everything" Chris added
"How'd you know?" Tori asked
"Please, I know you, You were probably all excited and went straight to the mall after rehearsals, bought every dress you liked to be on the safe side" Chris laughed "Am I right thus far?" he asked
"You're not completely off the grid" Tori replied
"Man, you were going hard for this dinner, weren't you?" Chris asked as he teased her
"What? You weren't exactly say to read. Things have been so weird, I figured one of us should just make an attempt to figure it out" Tori said
"Nah, I'm joking. I'm glad we talked about it. I feel better around you, I can do whatever now" Chris said as he leaned in to capture her lips with his as she wrapped her arms around his neck as he rolled on top of her "Then it'll give me perfect opportunity to take advantage of you at your weakest point" he said after breaking the kiss as he straddled her "Say hello to Mr. Hands" he said holding up his hands before he began to tickle her, causing her to laugh hysterically.
With the album coming out in less than two months, Tori felt the pressure now more than ever to make sure things were good to go for the performance. Leaving her house for the awards literally felt like she had to be dragged because the only thing that was on her mind was getting back to see Chris and to explore their new found status further. As soon as she made it to the venue, Tori was immediately rushed through to head into a radio interview for Radio Disney. Seeing all the fans, Tori was immediately reminded of how great it was to have people that truly loved and understood her music. If she could, Tori would've spent the day just interacting with her fans so that she could soak up all the energy they were giving her back. Heading onto the stage, Tori grabbed her headphones as she sat down with the radio host.
