Harry's POV

I wake up to find Draco still in my arms, neither of us have moved since the night before. After my rather... Detailed dream I wake up hot and flustered.

Brushing my hair back out of my face I slump down slowly further into the cushions as to not wake him. What are you doing Harry? You're sat here, alone and sleeping with Draco Malfoy. He's made your life a living hell since your first day at hogwarts, that's six years of Malfoy subjected pain and suffering. But he has been different lately. He's a lot more... Calm. He doesn't make remarks at every given opportunity or slanders me or my friends so why shouldn't I give him a chance? He has done the same for me. Opened up and explained himself and perhaps after everything it wasn't just him. I never backed down and sometimes picked a few fights myself, Draco can't be completely to blame. At least not for this.

I run my hand softly through his hair, brushing it back out of his face as he snuggles himself closer to my chest. Kissing the top of his forehead I can't help but smile knowing he's here with me. "Draco," I coo softly, "Drakey wakey..." He groans in reply flinging his free arm around landing smack to the side of my face, "you hit me!" I exclaim evoking a laugh from him.

"And you woke me so now were even," he says with a smirk.

"You look better," I say with a smile, "that long sleep must have helped. I think you'd have slept for days if I had let you," I chuckle.

"Yeah I guess I've not slept much lately... and whenever I did sleep let's just say it didn't last for long..." Draco admits.

"See I told you I was better than going back to Snape," I wink. He shuffles around so he has his head on my lap and is looking up at me.

"Ha ha yes. But I swear on your life if you even contemplate sneezing on me like last night I will be doing something even more unforgivable to you than a curse." He states but I can't help but snicker.

"Is that a threat Draco," I say with a wink, "as it seems a rather sexual threat if it is."

Draco just laughs at me but doesn't deny it, "So then Saint Potter how do you plan on explaining this?" He says gesturing at ourselves.

"If they ask then all I have to say is that I didn't make it back from Slughorn's Party. Which technically is true.... " I pause a moment before continuing, not knowing how he will take what I have to say to him. "Hermione knows though. That I'm with you that is. I've been ... Distracted shall we say and I wasn't the best at hiding it."

"What can I say? I am pretty distracting," he winks.

"Draco... I'm worried about you." I admit. "I know it's not my place to say..."

"You're right it's not," he spits.

"Ok. Just don't do anything alone ok? You don't have to go through it on your own you know."

"I do." He sighs.

"Well I think we might have to get up I'm afraid seeing as someone was being lazy this morning," I say nudging him as I quickly change the subject.

"And what exactly do I have to get up for?"

"It's the last day before the Christmas holidays... I just thought you'd want to get up and head home..."

"Yeah well you thought wrong." He says abruptly. "The last thing I want is to go back there. Such a pathetic waste of time Christmas," he says but I can see he doesn't mean it. Looking into his eyes I see the sadness he feels towards having to go home.

"I don't exactly want to go back either you know..." I say trying to let him understand he isn't alone.

"I'm starved." Draco says ignoring my comment.

"Well maybe if we hurry we might get to the great hall in time before breakfast ends," I say and almost in recognition his stomach rumbles, "come on," I say taking his hand and pulling him up. Even once he sits up we don't part hands. It doesn't feel forced, it's, comfortable actually.

"But I don't wanna go... Can't you just go and bring me some back?"

"Aww but won't Pansy miss you," I tease.

"More than likely," he laughs, "I'm sure Blaise will be there to comfort her though!"

"That bad huh?"

"Sometime I think she'd jump on a ghost if she could!" He says and I can't help but laugh with him.

We both stand and go to leave when it hits me, "Draco wait!" I say pulling him back by his arm.

"What's happening with us then?"

"Us what do you mean us?" He asks questioningly.

"Well considering we are normally ripping each others head off at very turn I think us walking in to the great hall together is going to raise suspicion," I explain.

"Yeah good point. Scared of a few rumours are we though Potter?" He says nudging me, "I can almost see the headline in the Daily Prophet now... the chosen one ... Chosen boys?" He says trying to stifle his laughter.

"Oh yes and out of them all he likes Draco Malfoy?  Rita Skeeter would have a riot day with that news story!"

"What?!"

"What?" I think back to what I had said and realized. "It's not like it's true... I mean I'm not gay or anything...."

"No need to explain to me Potter ... Who you sleep with is no concern of mine... Although I do find it intriguing," he says with a wink. "To save your dear reputation. I'll go first, wait a few moments and follow behind me. It will be like last night never happened." He says before nodding and slipping out the door.

But I don't want to imagine it never happened ....
