Killian's POV

Almost opening time. I whisper to myself as I clean the bar.
For some reason I'm really excited about tonight.
I look at the clock. 7:45. Okay, Emma should be here any minute.
I continue sweeping the floor for about five more minutes when I hear a door open. I look up, and see Emma walking over to me.

"Hey." I say with a smile on my face.

"Hey," she replies walking closer to me. "How was your day?" She sits on the stool next to me.
I sweep the floor as I say,

"It was good." I look up at her. I realize that she is in a beautiful short black dress. With the perfect amount of makeup.
I walk over to her and sit beside her.
"How was lunch with your friend?" I ask looking at her.

"Wait, how did you know about that?" She asks looking at me.

"You told me yesterday."

"Oh, ya, I did, didn't I?" She asks laughing.

"Yes," I put my arm on the counter and spin a little in the chair.
I spin around, until I hear laughing behind me. I stop the chair right in front of Emma.
She's laughing softly, but with a big smile.
"What?" I ask smiling.

"I don't know." She stops laughing.

"See something you like?" I flirt.

"Stop it." She hits my arm playfully.

"What's wrong, love?" I ask with a slight smirk. "Don't know how to flirt?"

"I'm not flirting with my boss." She rolls her eyes.

"Why not?" I ask, giving her a smile.

"You couldn't handle it." She smiles.

"Perhaps you're the one who couldn't handle it." I give her a flirtatious smile.
My employees open the doors. A few people enter.
A couple comes up to the bar, and talks to Emma.

Emma's POV

The couple comes up to me, and I pretend not to know them.

"Hey, Emma." The woman says to me.

"Hi." I smile at them, than pour their favorite drinks.

"Is that him?" She asks looking towards him through the corner of her eyes.

"Yah, that's him." I smile.

"He's cute." She looks back to me.

"I have to go serve more drinks." I quickly walk away, and serve other customers.
Once again I get a lot of dirty looks from woman, and don't even get me started on the men!
I put my elbows on the counter and put my head in my hands.
Someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around and see Killian looking at me.

"Can I talk to you, Emma?" He asks nervously.

"Yah, sure." I walk with him to the back room. I lean against the wall.
"Are you alright?" I asks worried.

"I'm fine, love." He takes my hand. "Look, I know we haven't known each other that long, but I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me?"
He smiles nervously.
I wait for a minute contemplating my decision. I look into his eyes. I can see he's starting to loose hope.

"Sure." I say with a smile.
What are you doing, Emma? I scream at myself.

"Really?" He asks surprised.

"Sure, it could be fun."
You're an idiot!

"Awesome!" He smiles like an idiot.
He kisses my cheek before he goes back to the bar.
I wait in the room for a minute, playing what just happened over and over in my head.
What are you doing? You can't let your walls down this easily.
I finally walk back to the bar, and serve drinks next to him. We stand closer than usual, but it's nice. It's been awhile since I've trusted someone, and with him, for some reason I trust him.
