Kohlra the Saiyan Part 3

It Can't Be

The next day, Kohlra awoke and saw Goku wasn't next to her. She got up and walked towards the kitchen. When she opened the door, she jumped back in surprise. Goku was sitting at the table this time. But, shouldn't he be at work?

"Kakarot? What are you doing here?"

"We need to talk..."

"Um... Sure. What's up?" she asked sitting across from him.

"I don't think we should be together anymore..."

"W-Wait...what...?"

"I'm sorry... I just, I feel like you can find someone way better than me..."

"Ok Kakarot. Very funny. Stop kidding around."

"I'm not joking..."

Kohlra looked him in the eyes, he was being serious. Her heart immediately felt broken.

"Not.... Not again... Please Kami! Not again!"

"I'm really sorry... It's just, I'm never home anymore and all I do is make you upset..."

She was too shocked to speak. No words could form in her head and her mouth refused to let her speak. It felt like her whole world was tumbling down. The only other time she felt like this was when she was mad at Shenron, but she wasn't mad at Goku. If anything, she was mad at herself.

"Kakarot, are you sure about this...?" were the only words she could think of.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Ok... I understand then..." she replied avoiding his gaze.

A frown formed on his lips as his wife looked away and he got up to hug her. She didn't move as he did this, she simply sat there as if she were a lifeless doll.

"I'm gonna go to work now. I'll be back later so I can pack."

No response. The Saiyan frowned at this.

"I'm sorry Kohlra... But it's for the best... I still love you, but you're better off without me..."

Still nothing. He mentally sighed and left the house. Kohlra got up and wiped away the tears she was hiding from him.

"If Goku wants to leave, then he can. I don't want to keep him prisoner here... And I don't want him to see me upset like this... Besides, I'm used to these things... I mean, how many of my marriages ended up with me like this?"

She took in a deep breath and walked outside for some fresh air. Kohlra sat on the roof almost all day silently weeping.

"This can't be... This just can't be... All of this has to be a nightmare, just a stupid nightmare....Goku wouldn't leave me... It just can't be true..."

No matter how many times she told herself this, it was all true.
