Bri'Asia POV
Today is the day when I finally get to take my cast off and to say I'm excited would be an understatement. I got up showered and got myself together.
As soon as I was finished I grabbed my phone of the charger, my keys and my purse and made my way downstairs.
It was a Saturday so my mom did not have to go in to work today. She work in a flower shop in the city and sometimes did landscaping with her crew for people. Bj was also home playing 2k in the living room.
"Morning bj" I greeted him.
"Morning sis. Where you going?"he asked.
"To take this cast off" I replied.
"Can I come?" He asked
"Sure. Get ready and be quick" I said watching him turn his game off and run upstairs.
I made my way into the kitchen where mom was drinking coffee and making scrambled eggs and bacon.
"Morning mommy" I smiled and kissed her cheek
"Morning love. How you doing?"
"I'm fine. How are YOU doing?" I asked putting emphasis on the You.
"Well I'm fine. Taking one day at a time. Can you pick up my medications for me hunny?" She asked
"Sure mom." I replied chewing on a piece of bacon. "What about the divorce?"
"Well I met up with the lawyer the other day. It should be finalized soon and I will be getting half of everything we ever had in that marriage. But he can keep the house, I'll take my cars and half of all the money."
"Wow mom that's great! It would be unfair if you didn't get anything. But just take it and move on." I replied. I was really happy she wasn't really stressing over this as much as I thought she would.
We were sitting there and bj down the stairs.
"Ok sis I'm ready."
"Ok, we'll be back soon mom" I said getting up to leave the kitchen.
"Ok babies" she replied.
We made it out the front door and in the car. It was still kind of difficult for me to drive with this stupid cast on but I just got to do it. Bj can't drive as yet.
I pulled out of the driveway and got on the highway making my way to the hospital. Bj was busy looking for songs on the radio when I heard Rich Homie Quan's Flex come on. He blasted the radio and was bobbing his head to the music. I just looked over at him and shook my head.
In less than 15 minutes we were pulling up to the hospital due to morning traffic. I cut the engine off and we hopped out the car going into the hospital and up to the front desk.
"Good morning. I'm Bri'Asia and I'm here to see Dr. Miller"
"Do you have an appointment?" She smiled brightly.
She has manners. I thought.
"Yes I do." I replied
"Ok down the hall first door to your right."
"Ok thank you" I said to her as Bj and I made our way down the hall.
I pushed the door and we went inside. I took a seat on the bed and bj sat on one of the chairs as we waited.
"You happy its coming off right?" He asked while looking at his phone.
"More than happy nigga!!" I replied as we both laughed.
We sat there about about 2 more minutes before the door creaked open and my doctor walked in.
"Ahh Good morning Bri'Asia. How wr you doing today?" He asked while pulling up his rolling chair and sitting down.
"I'm doing fine. Oh and that's my little brother Bj" I introduced
