Bri'Asia POV
The last thing I remember is seeing a car speeding in my direction and me honking my horn.
SMASH!!!
Then everything went black.
2 weeks later.
I woke up and groaned from the bright light shinning in the unfamiliar room. Wtf am I? I thought to myself.
I looked over to my right to see my mom knocked out and bj busy on his phone.
"B...." I attempted to call his name but my throat was so dry and sore, felt like it was cracking up.
He heard me and he jumped up and ran over to me.
"Omg sis. I missed you so much. You had a bad accident you were in a coma I thought you weren't gonna make it". He said in one breath
"Mom, she's up" He called out.
Mom slowly sat up in her seat rubbing her eyes.
"Oh my baby. Your OK! You need water? Let me get the doctor" she said running her hand through my hair and gently touching my face.
She made her way to get the doctor and bj poured me a glass of water that was on the table in the room. I thanked him and drank the water, clearing my throat a little afterwards.
"Where's Tay?" I asked bj
"She out getting some food n stuff with Aug" He replied
August was Tayjanay's boo. They've been dating on and off for the past year and have yet to put a title to what they have. I laid back on the bed as mom and Dr Miller came in.
"Hello Bri'Asia. Its nice to see you again. How are you feeling?" He asked
"Could have been better but I'm alive and I give thanks"
"Optimistic I see. Good to see you in good spirits" he looked down on his clipboard and looked up at me.
"Well you met in an accident two weeks ago and you were in a coma. You have a broken arm, two broken ribs and you hit your head pretty hard which is why your in a coma".
"How long do I have to say in here?"
I asked. I hate being in hospitals.
"Not too long since your healing has started while you were in the coma. So maybe a week or two just so we can monitor you."
"Can she eat anything doc?" My mom asked
"Yes. Nothing too heavy though." She nodded.
"What about the person that head on in me? Is he/she alive?"
"Yes. Insurance is taking care of damages and if you get a lawyer you can get paid for your injuries." He stated.
"Ok thanks for telling me" He nodded and left out the room.
"Does dad know about all this?" I asked mom
"I called him and he said she would see if he could make some time to come" she replied looking sad.
"Mom please don't stress over this. Everything is gonna be fine" I assured her. She nodded and gave a small smile.
I know she hurting but with her sickness she should not stress over this. I'm thinking about getting in contact with the insurance place because we really need the money.
With our current situation with dad, I wanted nothing from him. So I know that I'm gonna have to start paying my tuition and helping with bills and stuff but I would do whatever it takes to help my mom.
"Hey hey hey" August smiled coming into the room with Tay right behind him.
"Hey bro" I smiled.
They both came over giving me hugs and putting food on the table. I immediately grabbed a bag and started to stuff my face. The room fell silent and I felt there eyes on me. I slowly looked up to see them staring at me. They feel out laughing at me.
"What y'all laughing at?? Its been two weeks".
Nathaniel POV
I was sitting at home taking it easy like my doctor told me to. I had minor injuries from the accident but I was really shaken up by it. I had to wear this damn neck brace. Shit was bugging tha' fuck outta me.
The door bell rang and I got up going over to answer it. I pulled it opened and Kev was there
"Sup bruh"
"Shit man. Jus chilling"
"How you liking this new place?"
"Its kool. Piss me off cuz I had to waste my damn money on this shit"
"Its yo fault. You keep on picking up crazy bitches that go nuts without the nuts"
I laughed "You a fool man"
Turns out my crazy ass ex burnt my shit down after I called it quits with her. Like she expected me to stay wit her ho ass after she done cheated on a nigga. I didn't want to her cuz I don't hit females so I jus got a restraining order against the bitch.
"What yo yella ass over there thinking bout?" Kev asked
"Jus curious about the person I hit. I wanna know who it is"
"Whoever it is might jus run u over to give you more than jus a neck brace"
"Man whatever take me to the hospital"
"U sure bruh"
"Yea man."
"Aite" he nodded. I went to my room put on some fresh clothes and headed out with him. We pulled up to the hospital and I went up to the front desk asking for Dr Miller since I didn't know anything about the person involved in the accident. I waited a few minutes before I heard someone approach me.
"Mr Smith. Good to see you. How may I help you today? "
"Good to see you too doc. I jus wanted ta know if the person involved in the accident was still here. I wanna know who it is"
"Well she is here indeed. She is in room 138. Maybe you can stop by"
"Sure thing doc. Thank ya"
He nodded and I took off down the hall to remove my neck brace then to stop by her room.
Bri'Asia POV
Everybody had went home to take showers and get some proper rest after assuring them I'd be fine. I took my shower, brushed my teeth,changed my bandages and combed through my tangled hair before going back to lay down. As I got situated in the bed a knock sounded at my door. I shouted come in and the door slightly open and I saw a little eye peeking in.
"Hello. How may I help you?"
The door fully opened and revealed a light skinned man that was tatted all the way up looking fly as hell.
"You sure you have the right room?" I asked
"Yea ma. I'm Nathaniel and Docta Miller told me you the person I head on wit"
"Oh and your here because?
"I wanted to check on you see how ya doing. If u need anything, money for your injuries? Or you gonna do the insurance shit"
"Amma do insurance"
"Okay then kl....see ya around..."
"Bri'Asia"
"Nice name. See ya"
He walked out and closed the door behind all I could think about Is how fine he was.
