I pulled the yellow dress out of it's bag, pleasantly surprised. I gently pulled it over my body, it fit perfectly hugging my waist. and floating away from my hips, stopping just above my knee. I walked over to my dresser an opened my jewelry box, my moms silver locket sparkled out-shining all my other jewelery. The clasp hooked effortlessly around my neck and I made my way downstairs. Guests were starting to arrive, and Collin was greeting them at the door. I stood beside him politely smiling at all the strangers filling in the door. I was surprised to see Dad's parents walk through the door so cheerily. I was uncomfortable at how accepting they were of the blatant mockery of the 18 years he and my mom spent together. When my grandpa reached in to give me a hug I could smell alcohol and peppermint in his breathe. Maybe he wasn't so accepting of it after all.

When the last of the guests arrived, people started to fill the seats around the aisle. I stood at the door, peeking out. I saw Dad standing beside the minister and Uncle Dan beside him, it was all too much and the to top it off the music started to play and Margret began to descend the staircase. I moved out of the way and she walked passed me in a dress that was far too young for her. Five counts after she left I was meant to follow the rest of the bridesmaids out to stand beside her. I couldn't do it. I dodged the line and hid in the kitchen where the caterer's were busy at work preparing last minute dishes for the first course. A row of freshly poured champagne glasses taunted me, maybe grandpa had the right idea. I ducked around the staff and swiped a bottle of red wine, sneaking it up the stairs. I creaked my door open slidding in feeling like an intruder in my own house. I never did things like this. i sat on my floor beside my bed with the bottle between my thighs. I carefully peel away the gold foil that cover the cork and thud came from downstair my heart jumped. Shaking it off I ripped out the cork through back my first gulp. By the second drink I could feel the warmth ripple through my body. I pull my  my ipod out of my bed side table and blast it in my head phones. I've drinken almost half the bottle now as I start to sing loud and obnoxiously. "Spencer?" I turned around letting out an involuntary chuckle.

"Yes?" I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.

Ashton looked me over, "Uhm your mother has been asking for you."

"That barbie bitch isn't my mother" I let out another laugh.

"Maybe they shouldn't find you, not like this." he reached for the bottle.

"I'm fine Ashton, really." I cleared my throat. "Where is the she devil? Lead me to her!" I laughed holding the bottle out like a sword.

"I'm sure you are, come on" He took the bottle from my hand and I fell into him. "Let's get you some air."

"Why are you doing this for me?" I ask.

"Don't worry about it." He said sneaking me out to his truck and I passed out as we drove down  the driveway.
