*2 years later*
I let out a breath as I finished running laps around the inner edge of Wall Rose. Once Levi had figured out I could go three days just running in a straight line to the other end of Rose, without stopping, he told me to do two laps around it. He's always finding new ways to drive me crazy, I groaned in my head before smiling, but that all ends today.
For two years I waited to join the other troops and tomorrow, I would be. Starting out as a rookie won't be so bad, especially since I've had all the training I'll need to make it through. I smirked when I thought of the face the trainees would make if I went all out within the first week.
"Sibuna! Come on, let's get you moving," Levi called to me. His normal blank face was in place but I knew better. Over the past two years we had grown close and even though his face is blank, he is always calculating and planning to the max. Unfortunately what comes along with that is he is almost always cleaning, and not being able to cook was horrible, which I've been taking care of. I wonder how he's going to do without me? I thought to myself, walking over to him.
"You gonna be ok without me?" I signed to him. Yup, I taught Levi sign language, after the first few weeks it was troublesome to keep writing everything down, so I taught him to sign.
He gave me a look, "if anything, you will be the mess. I will be perfectly fine."
I smiled at him, "Ok then, let's get moving, I'm sure you're ready to get back to your bachelor life."
Levi grumbled, "what bachelor life?"
Hiking back to the castle, I went straight up to my room, grabbing my bag and running back down stairs. Coming to the front door, I stopped and turned around, looking at the dusty entrance and half cleaned staircase. I never thought I'd miss it here, I thought, smiling sadly.
I shut the door softly before bounding down the steps and up to Levi, who was already mounted on Chuck the brown horse with the blaze, don't ask about how he got his name. Slinging my bag over Vinni, a darker brown horse with three white socks, I swing myself on and motion for us to start moving.
Levi told me that it would be a hour long ride, but to me it went by in the blink of an eye. Soon we had made it to training camp, which for me was more like a playground, while to others it was hell. Levi signed to me, "You ready? You remember what I told you?"
I signed back, "Yup, don't be the best, but don't be the worst. Try to blend in, don't stick out. But you know with the way I look is a dead give away of who I am."
It was true too, I hadn't changed much. I looked almost exactly the way I did two years ago only my hair was a little longer and my eyes had turned into a deeper shade of red, which stood out of my black eyelashes, white skin and hair. "That's why I'm giving you this," He told me, throwing another bag at me. I looked at the contents, There was a black haired wig and temporary hair dye, I scrunch my nose up at the hair dye. The wig was short, only reached to my shoulder, with bangs that could cover my eyes, if I kept my head down.
Levi chuckled at my face, "I know, but it's only an option. Just in case someone sees you with the wig off."
Jumping off the black horse, I quickly go inside the main building and change. The clothes I chose for my disguise kept my movements limited, the wig covered my eyes and caused a small shadow to make me look creepy. Well, this'll work. I think to myself, I look plain enough. I look at the bag again before picking it up and walking out, making sure to keep my shoulders slumped and head slightly dropped. It got me out of the main building unnoticed, and for once I was normal, almost invisible. This is too weird, I've gotten really use to being stared at everywhere I go, haven't I? I thought, kinda creeping myself out.
Ooof, I landed hard on the ground along with the person I ran into. "Oh, s-sorry!" a voice spoke from above me. I opened my eyes to see a pair of green ones looking at me with concern, "Are you alright?" He asked me.
I jolted, noticing the position we were in, he was laying between my legs and on half my body, his arms on either side of me and his face was just inches from mine. I quickly nodded, and he sighed with relief and went to say something, only to be ripped off by another boy. I sighed, good he didn't see.
Taking a second to look at the two new people, I notice a smell wafting from them that was somewhat familiar. Looking at the one that ran into me, he had brown hair, green eyes and was tall for a kid this age. His scrawniness was the only thing that was normal about him, but his eyes, there was something hidden in them.
The other guy, looked down at me with a concerned frown. His amber eyes reflected the same secretive look as his friend, but I was too entranced by the spark I saw. Why are these boys so familiar? Was what one side of my brain was wondering, while the other side was more; What a hunk!
I almost died when he spoke, a deep voice, "Are you alright? I'm sorry about him."
Of course though, I remained silent and was thinking, his eyes are so cool!
"You ok? I didn't hit you too hard did I?" The other one asked.
That snapped me out of my revery, I shook my head, making sure my hair stayed in my face. Getting up fast, I bowed quickly and took off running, I was late. "Hey! Wait!" I heard them yell from behind me. Turning a few corners, I notice they aren't chasing me and let out a sigh of relief. Then I remember I have no idea as to where I'm going, or where I am in the first place.
I just ended up wandering around until being found by the lieutenant. After being thoroughly scolded, I was brought to the line up of cadets and I guessed that half the people there would be kicked out or would quit before everything was said and done. I grimaced, this will be a long three years.
Once the initial orientation was over, we were brought to our cabins, "later you will be taken to the mess hall for dinner."
I turned around and studied the room. It was way different from what I was used to, which wasn't much. I had either my own room, or I slept in an abandoned building, or a tree. but in short I was always alone. Now I will be sharing a room with three others, I wonder how this will go over?
