Phil's P.O.V
I jumped up earlier than normal... much earlier than normal. Today was the day; me and Dan we're going to adopt a child! It was like a dream come true, I loved children, and -- even though Dan acted like the type that would hate them -- Dan loved them too. I ran into my boyfriends room, jumping on top of him and shaking him like a child on Christmas morning. "Danny! Danny! Wake up! Wake up!"
Dan opened his eyes slowly, looking at Phil and then the clock, which showed the time '7:31 am'. Dan groaned "What is it, Phil? What's so important that I can't sleep until one in the afternoon?"
"It's adoption day! Remember?!"
Dan shot up, making me jump back. "Holy fuck!"
"Daaaaaan!"
Dan rolled his eyes but smiled widely at me "I can't wait! We have the office ready... Y'know.... As a bedroom... Right?"
I giggled. Dan always did this, overthinking until he had an existential crisis. "Yes, we've been sorting it all week, Dan."
"Oh... Yeah..."
Melody's P.O.V
"Wake up!" A voice screamed from outside my door. I rolled out of my bed, ginger hair in my eyes. My door slammed open, a tall and lively girl called Vanellope stood, standing over me. She had short, curly, blonde hair, unlike my waist-length, straight ginger hair. In fact, she was different from me in every way imaginable. She had brown eyes, I had green. She was tall, I was short. She was very much an extrovert while I preferred not to speak to anyone before I knew them, introverted, if you will. Despite our differences, Vanellope was my best friend.
"What'dya want?" I asked, not used to being woken up at 7:15 am.
"Duuuuh! It's adoption day, you silly thing!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down quite a lot.
"Oh..." I stood up, brushing myself off "right."
"C'mon, Mel! It'll be fun!"
"Easy for you to say." I groaned. "You're all bubbly and happy... And I'm just..." I sighed. "Me..." I looked out the window sadly.
"Awww, Mel! Don't say that!" Vanellope reached over and touched by shoulder, making me flinch and back away.
"Don't!" I yelped, my eyes widening in fear as I jumped back.
"Sorry, Melody! I didn't mean it!"
I sighed. "Not your fault, Val." I flinched a lot, it was a side affect of my fathers actions when I was young. He was a horrible man... That's besides the point.
"Should we... Go downstairs?" Vanellope asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Lemmy get dressed first."
"Okay, see ya' down there you big nerd!" Vanelopy giggled, almost skipping out of the room.
I smiled from the corner of my mouth, going to grab some clothes.
