My heart thuds in my chest, the rain glides smoothly down my face. The grey sky is overwhelming, I'm stood there, in a boggy mess. Adelais! He is here! He is safe.

"Where are we going to go?"

He spoke to me, this is real. I must be there, for him. What ARE we going to do? Where ARE we going to go? I need to think of something, fast.

"Don't worry, Ade. Someone can help us, in the mean time, we'll head towards the town. It can't be more than a few miles away." I lean down onto one knee and wipe away the tear sliding down his soft skin. " Ade, we'll be okay. I promise."

I promised, we will be okay. He needs me, that's my priority. Yeah, just like I said, we'll head for the town. It won't be too long a walk. There we can get help, I can work. We need food, Ade needs food. Seems we have enough water for the time being, I don't think the rain will ever hold up! Oh what can I do? No, don't you dare cry! Ade and I can make our way in the world, I know it. We have to. We will stick together no matter what.

Oh God, Ade is crying, poor little fella. We've had so much happen in the last few years. He is coping so well, he is so brave. Just like his name. 'Adelais the Brave' wait, where did I get that from? I've always said it, but I never really knew where it came from.

"Oh, come here little buddy" I pick him up and put him on my shoulders. "Ade I promise we will stay together through anything. Me and you against the world. Always". I put my hand on his knee, his put the palm of his in mine.

  "I love you, Orator"
