Now... Lets just say that (Y/N) has some serious... Problems. Her hallucinations are stronger than ever right now. I've prescribed her some strong medicine, very rare to be given these. There is someone I think she should talk to rather than me, and that is Josh Washington. He has... Hallucinations of his dead sisters. Disappeared about half a year ago. Maybe them two can help, each other.
~Dr Hill
(Y/N)'s mother read the letter and sighed. She hated talking about their child's 'problems'. It made her feel like she didn't own a normal daughter.
She phoned Dr. Hill and got the Washington's address and phone number. Taking a deep breath she dialled the number.
_______
(Y/N) and Josh Washington sat in Dr. Hill's office side by side not speaking to each other. The tension in the air was extremely thick.
"So... I see you two seem to be... Umm.." Dr Hill awkwardly evaded his gaze from the two as he closed the door to his office upon entering just moments before.
He sat at his desk and looked at the two studying their facial expressions.
"So... Josh. This is (Y/N). We have weekly sessions together, just like us. She's suffering from the same condition as you."
"You see dead people?" Josh said abruptly staring at the female in the eyes.
"Not the dead, no, I see... Dead animals." She said not wanting o say any more incase she scared him.
"So it's like my hallucinations than...?" He asked leaning a bit closer. (Y/N) timidly leaned back a bit avoiding his intense stare.
"Y-yes...I suppose in some sense." She mumbled staring at her lap an than staring up at Dr. Hill.she didn't like him being so close and chose to back up so he was leaning back in his chair.
She just kept her gaze on her psychiatrist."So.. You two seem to be a perfect 'match'! That's good to hear! Maybe now you will make some friends, (Y/N)." She smiled back wearily. She liked it just being the two of them, no Josh. But of corse that's now ruined.
An hour passed by breezily, just Dr. Hill trying to get (Y/N) and Josh to become more than mild acquaintances. When he checked his watch, he placed his hands on the desk and stood up ready to say goodbye to the insane couple.
They walked outside not saying a word, the cold breeze hit (Y/N)'s face as they walked outside making her put her hood up.
"So, today was certainly interesting."Josh mumbled trying to make conversation. (Y/N) saw this and decided to play along.
"I suppose that is one way of saying it." Okay, maybe it wasn't a very good conversation saver but it was her first conversation apart from her mother and Dr. Hill.
"Do you maybe... Want to go out for a bit..?" He asked and a slight shade of pink dusted his cheeks which was just about visible.
"Ummmm..." (Y/N) didn't know what to say so she just nodded.
Josh surprisingly took her hand in his and smiled. She felt her cheeks burn up and pull her head down to avoid his cute gaze upon her figure."So w-what do you... See...?" She asked after some time of comfortable silence.
"My sisters disappeared about 6 months ago... They're always shouting at me. Stuff about me wanting them to die." I thought about it for a while, deciding what to say.
"Well that's.... Interesting..." I said dragging out the interesting. We reached an area, almost a wasteland with hardly any green life and filled with broken stones and platforms."Well this is making me think that you're going to kill me." I said in a monotone voice.
"Hehe only kill you so you'd be with me forever." He said wi min and grinning.
"In your dreams." I said and spun out of his grip whilst he smirked at me. I just smiled and walked ahead of him taking in the view."This way to the awesome hang out!" He said pointing in a direction which was blocked by tyres all stacked upon each other and a few dying plants. There was a train track with what looked like a wide river a while of to the left.
"What do you do here?" I asked and he wrapped his arm around my waist again, this time though I didn't object.
"Nothing much, I don't have 'friends' to hand out with so I mainly come here to get some peace and listen to music." I nodded smiling a bit and rested my head a tiny bit against his arm, since he was quite a bit taller than me.
"Here we are than." He said and my smile grew into a grin."Jesus hot sauce Christmas cake this is amazing!" I said laughing. The was a raised platform with a rucksack covered by hanging leaves of a branch, the platform high enough to see the moving river.
"Damn this is cool!" I breathed and i felt a pair of hands pull me down gently to sit beside Josh.
"So I take it you like it here?" He asked smirking."Yeah, it's pretty cool here." I replied looking around again.
"What triggers your hallucinations?" I asked after a while of comfortable silence.
"Usually if I don't take my medication. I don't like it, makes me feel like I'm a maniac." I nodded in understanding.
"I see where you are coming from. My mother hates not having a normal child. I'm surprised she let me go to these weekly therapy sessions with you." I mumbled looking at the ground.
"Hey, don't worry about it! I'm here now." He said smiling and placed an arm loosely around my shoulders.
"And me to you." I replied, after that we sat in a comfortable silence till the sun set.
"I need to go, my mother will be pissed if I'm not home in," I quickly checked my phone for the time." Half an hour."
"She's only worried about you." Josh said helping me up.
"Maybe, but she always shouts. I don't like it."
"Well my sisters only shout at me, so who's got it worse here?" He asked laughing.
"Okay, you do!" I said rolling my eyes playfully nudging his arm._-_-_-_-_-_-_
I arrived home and listened to Gasoline on repeat as usual. Dr.Hill says it's unhealthy to obsess over a song but I didn't care.
<message received>
So do you want to walk to school with me tomorrow?
I frowned at the text and as if it read my mind it vibrated again.
<message received>
I didn't tell you that i wrote my number in your phone when you weren't looking. It's Joshy! 😝
I laughed slightly and immediately text him back.
<message sent>
You scared me than, don't do that! Sure, I'll walk with you. 😋
I switched my PS4 on and decided to continue playing Heavy Rain until late at night. At Least that's what I planned, Josh wouldn't stop texting me to see if I was okay. Which was kind in some sense.
