(Y/N) liked the view, she loved it in fact. She held her arms out like the Goddess she was, the cool air brushing past her skin, her feet spilled over the edge of the roof, almost as if she was about to accept her death.
"Hey (Y/N), you might fall..." She gazed down at me with dazzling eyes and I smiled.
"I don't want you to fall."
"I've survived worse." She replied and inhaled, closing her eyes again.
Her shirt and jacket blew in the breeze, her scars on her stomach, everything that made her (Y/N)...
"Stop staring your putting me off." She half joked.
"I can't help it, your too pretty." She blushed and sat down next to me, our feet dangling over the edge.
"This is amazing." She murmured gazing at the blood Orange sky, the sun was setting causing the deep purple sky to bleed red bathing the buildings in gold.
I placed a hand on her cheek pulling her to look towards me and kissed her sweetly.
"This is the most alive I've ever felt." She muttered staring back up at the sky.
"Yeah... I'm the same in fact." I pulled her closer for comfort and closed my eyes resting my head on her shoulder.
"This worlds such a shitty place, it's nice to see how beautiful it if every once in a while." She sighed and nuzzled into my hair.
"We should get back before we fall asleep on the roof." I yawned and helped her up of the ledge. The sky was now deep blue, making it difficult to see.
"But, before we go I want to tell you..." I sighed and stared at the sky hoping she wasn't looking at me.
"Y-you are the only thing that makes me happy (Y/N). I don't know if you know this but..." I un-buttoned my short by two and pulled the collar slightly to the left to let her see the scars.
"Was it because of...?"
"The hallucinations got too much." She turned so she was on her knees and pulled me into a tight hug.
"Fucking hell Josh, please don't do it again I can't survive without you..." I swallowed fighting back the tears and saw she was already crying.
"I would of noticed it the other night when we where...." I smiled briefly and shook my head.
"Eh, I used makeup from the makeup Kits my dad gets for his horror films." I watched her bottom lip wobble as she trailed her hand round the purple scars.
"Did you see..?" Her scars? Yes, the deep purple lines across her stomach could explain it better than herself. I understood what it was like so I didn't ask.
I nodded and placed my hands on the fabric covering the scars gently.
She gently took my wrists turning them to her view and I studied her face carefully.
"So what stopped you from doing it?" She asked and I thought about the experience, the knife shaking at my throat as I thought if I was actually ready for this; I slipped the metal through the skin on my neck and wrists before Chris burst through the door smacking the knife out my hand and held my head screaming at me if I was crazy. He stayed with me till the ambulance came yet they wouldn't let him come in with me to the hospital.
"Chris... He saved my life." She smiled with tears streaming down her face and pressed my hand against her cheek.
"Josh... Promise me you won't do it again? No matter if I die..."
"Cross my heart." Cross my fingers.
