Chapter 7: Drama Project at a New Friend's House

Sapphire's P.O.V.

When we entered the classroom, a short but very stern teacher sat at his desk reading a book.. He had a pokerface, and pale lifeless eyes. He glanced at me and made a sound like 'tch'.

"Well what do we have here? Another brat for me to teach?" He asked with an emotionless voice.

"U-uh, yes sir," I answered. "My name is Sapphire Knight, sir. Nice to meet you."

"Likewise. I'm Mr. Ackerman, your new history teacher. You can sit between Mr. Horan and Ms. Edwards," he stated while going back to his book. Niall looked at me with a sympathetic smile, but his eyes were still bright. I swear I have seen those before.... Oh well...

"Is he always like that?" I whispered to him while we walked to our seats, with our hands still together.

"Yeah. He is the stone cold teacher. He's always like that until he comes by Mr. Yaeger, one of the gym teachers here. Whenever he sees him, he smiles, but just a slight smile. I swear if ever has a real smile, his face would crack," Niall explained to me while he laughed a little, which made me start to laugh along with him. I sat down at my desk and got my notebook and pencil. I put my school bag on the back of my seat, and noticed a pretty girl sitting next me. She gave me a smile and introduced herself.

"Hi! I'm Perrie Edwards. I guess your the knew student here. It's nice to meet you," she stated while sticking out her hand.

"Hi! Yeah I'm the new one around here. My name is Sapphire Knight. Likewise," I said while taking my free hand and shaking her hand.

"You have a pretty name. Oh, are you and Niall dating?" she asked which caused me to blush.

"What? No we aren't," I said quickly.

"Then why are you holding hands?" She asked while pointing to our intertwined hands. Niall and I looked at each other and we let each other's hand go. When I did, the warmth left, but there was still a tingly feeling in my hand. I'll ask Amethyst about this when I see her.

"She bumped into me and I helped her with her books. We found out we had the next class together so I grabbed her hand and brought her here. Guess I didn't know I still holding her hand," Niall explained with a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Ohhhh ok-ay! I believe you," she said with a slight smirk. She looked at me and smiled like she knew something was going on. Oh well...

~Le time skip~

The bell just rung and it was the end of my first day at my new school. All the others had a great day and made a few new friends. I locked my locker 1031 and my friends were behind me. Pearl was hugging Justin while Rose was doing the same to Ross. Even if I still don't trust them fully, they do look cute together. 

"Hey guys!" I greeted with a smile. They greeted me back along with smiles, when I remembered something. "Oh Amethyst, I need to ask you something."

"What is it?" She asked back with an eyebrow raised.

"I need to go for a project," I explained.

"Wait. Is it that drama project?" Pearl asked.

"Yeah."

"You guys are starting now? We have two weeks until we have to perform it in front of the class,"  she stated.

"We know that, but we want to get the writing done so we can rehearse the scene so we can get a good first major grade," I explained to him as we began to walk towards the entrance of the school.

"That's true. Justin, we should actually start that. We can begin the project in my room," she smirked a little. 

"Which won't be writing, but making out," Ruby stated as we all began laughing except me. I gave Justin my death glare.

'Go farther than that, I'll have you for dinner you got that?' I threatened him with my eyes turning red for a second than going back to hazel.

'~gulp~ Y-yes ma'am,'  he stuttered in his mind. I nodded then got back to my question.

"So is it ok if I go to my friend's house to do a project?" I asked once again.

"Sure, but you must be home before nightfall. You never know what kind of animals and/or creatures can be lurking in the darkness," she said with a mother-like tone in her voice.

"Amethyst, we are creatures that lurk in the darkness now that you think about it," Rose explained.

"And plus, we could handle anything that comes at us. We aren't as weak as when we were newborns," Diamond stated as well.

"True but you know what I mean. Just be careful walking home," she stated while giving me a small smile.

"Yes mom! I'll see you guys later!" I stated while going to find Louis. I looked around and saw him with Niall and other friends. Niall saw me and smiled at me. I walked towards them and smiled.

"Hey Sapphire," Louis and Niall stated in unison. They looked at each other and laughed. 

"Hey guys! Louis, we need to start on our project," I told him.

"Oh yeah. Liam, is it ok if she comes to our house so we can do a project? He asked a boy with shaved haircut and chocolate brown eyes.

"Sure. What is your name, darling?" he asked with a sweet smile.

"My name is Sapphire Knight. I'm a new student here," I greeted them.

"My name is Liam , the one with black hair is Zayn (A/N: It pains me a little to type his name. Anyways, continue) and the one with curls is Harry. Welcome to Sacred Heart High School," he stated while introducing the other boys.

"Thank you. So is it ok if I come over to start a project?" I asked politely. 

"Of course. Our house isn't too far from here so we are going to walk. Is that ok with you," Niall asked while placing his arm on my shoulders. That warm feeling returned and I felt my face begin to get hot. 

"That's fine. I like to walk anyways," I smiled at him.

"Well great! C'mon lads! Let's get home!" Louis stated while placing his arm on my shoulder as well. This is going to an eventful evening...
