Ever After

Chapter Two

Scarlet and Wolf had been packing for atleast an hour when they heard the knock.
Cinder, Kai and Torin and Iko had been there, as planned of course.
It had only been a year ago Kai and Cinder had gotten married. One year before, the country of Luna was successfully turned into a republic, now being run by Winter and Jacin. Two months later Cinder/ Selene announced her stay at the Commonwealth, then three months later her marriage to Emperor Kaito.
All that time Scarlet, Wolf and Emelie were rebuilding the farm.

The wedding was beautiful. With Cinder in a gorgeous form fitting cream gown , covered in lace and falling into a long train. Her hair was thick and curly falling into loose ringlets. The upper part was in a twisted crown. She was prettier than Winter in those moments.

Kai could not have been happier. With the first wedding he actually looked forward too. Iko, Iko was so excited she actually shut herself down. Two days later, Queen Selene became Empress Selene.
But now they were all off to California for Cress and Thorne's wedding. It was their turn for romance and a squealing Iko.

Immediatly, Iko ran in for hugs, not even flinching when she embraced Wolf. She was an android. Cinder smiled and politely embraced Scarlet, Kai shook Wolf's hand. Then Scarlet noticed.

Cinder looked different. Pale, gaunt, tired.
Her hair was being worn straight to her mid back and she wore a kimono style blouse and black slacks, as close she could get to her old tank and cargo pants style. And Scarlet could tell, underneath the blouse was a baby bump.

Scarlet gasped and let out a squeal much like Iko's. Cinder let out a soft laugh. "We hate to take the attention away from Cress and Thorne, but we wanted to tell you in person." Wolf went and hugged Cinder too, being extra careful not to squish her.

Scarlet and Wolf beckoned the four of them inside. Torin had been so silent they had nearly forgotten he was there.

"So," continued Scarlet, taking a seat beside Iko "Have you told the commonwealth that you're expecting?"
Iko did not leave the couple a chance to awnser . "Are you kidding it would be every where!!" Kai laughed "Well said Iko" Iko grinned "I was first to find out you know" she said. "There when the doctor told her!!" They all laughed at Iko's excitement.

"Well," said Scarlet "We should get going. We don't want to be late."
