I feel like I'm gazing into the eyes of Aphrodite. They gleam, and change. I started to notice how awkward it was getting, so I set her down. She looked like a modern day princess, with her long hair, kaleidoscope eyes, and, well, everything! "So," I said trying to break the silence, "I know it's none of my business, but your an Aphrodite Girl. Plus, you don't seem to happy about it, would you tell me about that?" She seemed to hesitate. When she started out talking, it sounded like a whisper, and grew into a yell. "I'm sarcastic, I don't use makeup, I hate being in front of a crowd, and..." She stopped, but I didn't want to press it. I started searching her eyes, trying to figure out this girl. She reminded me of Annabeth. With her determined expression, which was quivering at the moment. I took a deep breath, and a lightbulb popped into my head. "Hey, you should meet Beauty Queen! She's the head of your cabin, and is just like you!" She had a questioning look on her face. "Who would want to be called 'Beauty Queen'?" She asked, using air quotes. "Piper, I call her Beauty Queen because she's, well, you'll find out!" I said, grabbing her arm. I started pulling her towards the Aphrodite cabin, as soon as we started to get close, Piper walked out. "Who's this? She looks confused, so she must be new!" She said, lighting up. "Yeah this is Cleo!" I said with an ear-to-ear grin on my face. "She's your half sister, so Cleo tell Piper about yourself." Cleo looked really antsy. "Well, I don't like wearing makeup, I hate attention, and the way I look, and..." She started to trail off again. "Never mind that, this must be a mistake! Right?" She looked really hopeful. I wonder what that whole thing about trailing off is about! "No sweety, that is not the case here. I felt that way when I first found out my mom is the goddess of love! Then I realized Aphrodite is more about beauty through and through. At least you didn't turn into a Barbie doll!" The last part she mumbled. "What?!?" Cleo asked with a horrified look on her face.
