Prologue
Skyler's POV:
Last year was my first year as a lifeguard. I knew it would be boring just sitting up there on the stand making sure no one drowned. I was so used to the same routine that i didn't expect it when someone drowned. I felt like it was my fault, technically it was but another life guard was on there way, but i just stood there staring like an idiot not really knowing what to do even though i went to thousands of trainings. The owner of the pool called me into his "office" and said that was my first warning and if i got two more i was fired. I was scared cause this job paid really well which was good for college in a couple of years. Thank god this was the last day of summer!! So glad i can have time to get over this before i start back again next summer....
