There were street races after dark, people gathered around for everyone to see.
People were dancing, drinking and partying.
Tego, Dom and Don walked toward Letty, Anna and Han.
Tego spoke in Spanish. "Mi primo is running security on the airbase."
Don spoke in Spanish. "Says that there's going to be a couple of refueling planes arriving."
Dom showed a bag of money to all of them.
"How you doing?" Han asked.
"Money, money," Tego told them.
Dom handed some money to Don.
Don took it. "Good."
Dom held money toward Anna.
Anna hesitated, taking the money, taking a drink of beer.
Letty noticed something off with her.
Tego looked at Don. "Yo, why your stack is bigger than mine always?"
"I'm supersized, baby," Don told him.
Dom held money toward Han.
Han took it.
Letty looked at Dom, Tego, Don and Han, speaking in Spanish. "Go have fun." Dom, Tego, Don and Han walked away, leaving. Letty stepped closer to Anna. "Anna, you know you've been a little sister to all of us. And now you're not so little any more, but it doesn't change a thing. What's going on?"
"For years, I've been looking for them," Anna told her.
"The guys who murdered your parents?" Letty asked.
"Yeah," Anna answered. "And you were right about what you said, all those years ago. That the road to revenge can take a long time. I just didn't think it would take this long."
"You were 16 when we had that conversation," Letty told her.
"Yeah, and now I'm 24," Anna told her. "I mean, I'm better than ever, and I've gotten close to figuring out who killed my mom and dad all those years ago. It's just... when I get too close, everything shuts down. Literally."
"Like someone doesn't want you to know," Letty told her.
"Exactly," Anna told her. "So I asked Tego and Don about their Army friend at the airplane base. They figure that he can help me out."
"And you're not worried he might not turn you over to the cops?" Letty asked.
"It's a rebel Army man, Letty," Anna told her. "He's helped T and D with a lot of jacked up shit before."
Letty and Anna chuckled, smiling small smiles.
"Just promise me one thing," Letty told her.
"Anything," Anna told her.
"When you finally do find the guys that did this to your family..." Letty trailed off. "Just let it make you lose yourself."
Anna considered this, nodding. "Gotta live life a quarter mile at a time, right?"
Letty smiled. "And you best believe that I will be there living my life quarter mile at a time right there with you. We may not be blood, but we are sisters, Anna."
Anna smiled. "Blood sisters."
Anna and Letty smiled, hugging, pulling away.
