Spotted Together

Parked at roadside underneath a bridge, Brian pulled out his phone to call headquarters.

In headquarters, Captain Penning answered the phone, looking at a file. "Talk to me, O'Conner. Where the hell have you been?"

"I got the shipment," Brian told him.

"'I got the shipment', or 'we got the shipment'?" Penning asked.

"What are you talking about?" Brian asked.

"Traffic cams in the area picked up pictures of you, Dominic Toretto and Anna Li together," Penning answered. "Listen to me, O'Conner. Bring in the shipment, and bring in Toretto and Li."

"But I thought the point was to get Braga," Brian told him. "We got an opportunity here."

"Brian, the clock stopped ticking," Penning told him. "Bring them in. Are we clear?" Brian didn't answer, hearing Dom and Anna talking indistinctly in the background. "O'Conner?"

Brian hung up, walking toward the back of the armored car.

Dom and Anna were standing in front of the shipment suitcases, looking at all of the money inside.

Dom's shoulder was bandaged, and Anna was tossing first aid supplies into a trash can nearby.

"So, this is what $60 million looks like," Anna told them.

Brian looked at Dom. "Yeah, we got to get you to a doctor."

"We got to find a place to hide this," Dom told them.

Anna nodded. "I got a spot."

The armored car pulled up to the building with Jo's lab.

Jo walked outside, up to the armored car.

Dom, Brian and Anna got out.

"You think you can handle this here?" Anna asked.

"Oh, yeah," Jo answered. "Last place they'll ever look for it is a military lab."

Dom looked at Anna. "And you sure we can trust this guy?"

"He's helping me find who I'm looking for," Anna told him. "And, besides, Tego and Don hooked me up with him."

Dom looked at Jo in realization. "Oh, so you're the one they've been rattling on about in every language they know."

Jo smirked. "I'm the one. I can keep it safe here. You sure you guys don't need any help?"

"I think we can manage," Brian told him. "But thanks."

"See, you're not the only one starting out doing good and turning bad," Jo told him. He seemed to be taunting, but not at the same time. "It's thrilling, isn't it? Following in the steps of others before you, aren't you, pal?"

Brian chuckled. "Okay, Mr. Wise Guy over here."

Anna smiled a small smile.

Dom chuckled.

"You know, I've been thinking," Jo told them. He pointed at Anna. "Since she blew up all your cars..." Anna smirked. "You all need ones." Jo led them toward a garage, lifting the door and revealing three their-type cars. "How will these do?"

Dom smirked. "Oh, they're perfect."

"You think I can ask you one more teeny, tiny favor?" Anna asked. Jo raised his eyebrows. "We need a place to crash for the night."
