"We need something that'll get the crowd pumped something that will beat our contending band....."
Nagasaki said as the band sat there thinking
"I've got it!!"
The band looked at Nagasaki
"Akihiko"
"yea?"
"I need you to create the most crazy awesome hardcore song you've ever made."
Akihiko's eyes widened
"Don't make it dark just hardcore like headstrong but better."
Nagasaki said while shaking Akihiko silly.
"Ok sure but how will that help any?"
"Headstrong is Night's Song...you should know they made that song as a message to you guys telling you to step aside...so you all should make a song telling them your ready for them"
Nagasaki said as he addressed the entire band.
"But I'm not all that hardcore..."
Akihiko said without confidence.
"But Akihiko you have to do it.. Your the lead we need your voice."
"Not Actually"
Koga said interrupting Nagasaki.
"Toshiro could do it because his voice is a lot more dangerous... Akihiko's voice sounds a lot more sheltered and shy"
"That's a good idea I've always told Toshiro he'd get his own signature song"
"I won't do it"
The band looked at Toshiro as he interrupted Akihiko.
"Your trying to dodge this...don't dodge it I'll get my signature song after we win...and we will win but only with you as the lead."
"But I can't do it I'm not all that dangerous"
"You created Phenonmon for our first broadcasting song and you sang it..."
Takami told Akihiko and he realized that he might be able to do it.
"I just might be able to pull it off"
"I'll make sure of it"
Nagasaki told Akihiko
"I'll test your voice and I'll show you how to be hardcore got it"
Nagasaki said seriously
"...OK I guess"
Akihiko said shyly
The band left while Akihiko stayed in the booth with Nagasaki. Akihiko was sweating and his throat burning from constant practice. He was almost certain his lungs would burst. keep Going... Akihiko said in his head as he continued to sing. After practice he walked home exhausted and by chance he sees Aika walking in the store. Akihiko pursues her in order to apologize in light of the mishap with her brother.
"...Aika"
Akihiko says with his throat still hurting from practice and him sounding like an adult rapist.
"Aika"
Aika starts to run without a second thought and Akihiko chases her still talking.
"Aika its me"
"No get away!"
Aika replys and Akihiko trips over one of the customers feet and gets restrained by the customer.
"Are you OK ma'am"
Aika turns around to see Akihiko
"Oh my goodness I'm sorry Aki you scared me...he's fine he just sounded scary that's all"
"Story of my life"
Akihiko said sarcastically
"Akihiko why do you sound like that?"
"I have to practice to sound hardcore for my band's new song"
"Oh wow you need rest"
"Oh no I just want to apologize to you about the thing that happened with your brother."
"Oh its fine it'll be ok... Oh and by the way my brother wants to meet you"
Akihiko trembled and flashed back to her brother's glare.
"Uh no thanks"
Akihiko suddenly felt breath behind his neck
"So you too good meet me?!"
The brother said as Akihiko turned around and screamed.
"N-no sir!"
"What's wrong with your voice?"
"Uh I am training to sound hardcore for my band sir!"
"Jeez kid loosen up and you don't 'sound' hardcore you have to BE hardcore... You have to feel it in your bones-"
"Everyone's staring"
Aika said as her brother looked around and scratched his head as he saw people.
"Sorry customers"
"Why don't we leave I have all of the things that we need"
"How?"
Aika's brother and Akihiko said simultaneously.
"I grabbed them when I ran from Aki"
"Oh"
They both said.
"Akihiko remember this... Hardcore is imagining the most awesome thing and sing while your imagining it... Rock is not just music its a way of life."
Akihiko heard the brother's words while standing in awe
"Time to go"
Aika said as her brother followed
"Wait what's your name?"
Akihiko asked the brother.
"The name's Taro kid"
Akihiko walked home happy that he obtained another friend who shares the rock passion. Akihiko managed to write a new song while he was healing from his last vocal practice and they made yet another hit song to play at the preliminaries for the rock tournament.
That's the sound when the rock hits.
The judges were amazed with the song and they entered the tournament to defeat their new rival.
