Chapter 5: Burning Cheeks

After a wonderful nights dream you woke up in a wonderful mood. You went downstairs in your lilac PJ shorts and a small white top. As you went to make breakfast you moved all the dirty dishes aside how long has her house been like this? You thought to yourself in disgust. You moved everything and looked in the cupboard to see nothing but nearly empty cereal and the crusts at the end of the loaf of bread. You made your self cereal and went to sit down on the sofa to watch to tv. As you finished you looked all around and thought where do I even start? As you were thinking you heard a knock on the door. Crap! I'm still in my pjs! you ran to the door opening it just so your head popped out. "Neji?! What are you doing here?" You said blushing. "I knew TenTen was going on a mission today thought you'd want some company? Are you ok?", he said in a deep voice which brought you to listen to every word intensely. "Oh uh thanks ... You can come in but give me a minute to run upstairs and take a shower haha" you laughed nervously, he just looked at you confusion but nodded anyway. You closed the door running upstairs as he walked in.

Neji POV
She was acting strange. She wouldn't let me see her, but she looks so innocent when she blushes, I walked in and caught a glimpse of her running up the stairs to the bathroom. I stood there staring without realising that she had very short shorts on. I looked away thinking to myself what are you doing Neji she clearly didn't want you to see, what is wrong with me she's just a friend.   

Your POV
As you just got out of the shower you got dressed and ran down stairs still putting your hair in 2 braids. He was watching tv. "Hey sorry about earlier" you said with slight embarrassment, "don't worry, what was you gonna do today?" He has such a enticing voice that just made you want to listen to him all day. "(Y/n)?" He said looking at you like you wasn't paying attention. "Oh sorry ... D-daydreaming again... Haha" you said nervously "I was gonna clean the house today because... Well look at it haha" you said looking at all the tools everywhere "Well I'll help since I no where most things go" he said with a slight smile. He is so hard to read did he actually want to help or did he feel like he had to?

As you began tidying with Neji putting all the clothes in a bag to take upstairs and put away for her, you went to grab a top, but so did Neji. Next thing you knew your hands were touching,"oh uh sorry Neji I-" you said looking away from him feeling your cheeks burning up, "it's ok" he was so calm and collected about it, he acted like it was no big deal but to you that's all you could think about how. His skin was so soft your mind kept drifting back to that awkward but yet exciting moment. You wish he didn't pull away.

You and Neji were done with the cleaning and had put everything away and you both fell to the sofa and sighed from exhaustion. "Thanks Neji for your help today" you were still looking at the celling,  he looked straight into your eyes "no problem I hope we can do it again some time" he said with a smirk. His eyes. You both looked at each other. You was screaming with excitement on the inside.
