2:13 a.m.
"Don't worry babe. I'm trying to get you there as fast as I can. Just breath baby please, everything will be ok. I promise." I tried to calm her down. She grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly cursing every word in the book,
"Fuck Tye. Drive Faster!!! This shit hurts ahh"
"Look. Just hold my hand and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Everything is fine".
I sped along the freeway for 6 more minutes before pulling up to the front door of the hospital before helping my fiancé out of the car into the hospital lobby.
"It's an emergency!!! We need a wheelchair immediately! Her water broke and she's going into labor now," I screamed as nurses rushed over to us. "Every thing will be alright sir. We're going to take good care of her but I'm gonna need for you to hurry up and put your scrubs on before you can come into the labor room" a dark-skin lady said calmly.
I left out to go park my car and call her parents and my parents to let them know she was having the baby now. Once I got off the phone I rushed to put on my mask,hat, and gloves and entered the room where my baby was sweating uncontrollably and crying.
"Where the hell is my fiancé?! I'm not having this baby without him. There's no way I can do this without him!" I heard her cry. I rushed over to her and grabbed her hand to assure her that everything was ok. What the hell did I do that for? Just as I grabbed her hand she one of her many mighty contractions which caused her to almost brake my fucking hand. "The contractions are 10 minutes apart now" I heard a nurse say before walking over to the other side of Harmony. Look Mrs. Edwards, we're going to do a couple of practice pushes first ok" the nurse said calmly. "I really don't give a fuck just get this thing out of me"she screamed causing me to laugh harder than I should've.
"Ohh you think this shit is funny huh? Let's see how your ass would feel if you had a human being trying to escape through the smallest space possible huh. A human being that's more than likely coming head first with a big ass head like you you inconsiderate bastard!"
Ouch. That shit really hurt.
Ok take a deep breath and when you exhale push as hard as you can" the nurse said.
"Ughhhhhhhhhh"she let out a grown as she did her first practice push.
"Ok Harmony that was great sweetheart. Let's do about 2 more practice pushes and then we'll be all set" the nurse said.
The second practice push went the same as the first but on the third one the baby popped out perfectly fine.
She was the most beautiful baby I had ever saw. Her head was full of curls and she didn't even cry much when she came out.
"Excuse me sir. Would you like to cut the umbilical cord" a male nurse asked snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Umm yea sure." I said with tear filled eyes and shaky hands. Before I knew it my parents and her parents were in the room cheering me on. I guess they could tell I was nervous. Once I cut the chord they all let out their share of woosss!!! And the doctor cleaned up the baby. I walked over to my future wife and wiped the sweat from her forehead. "It's over love. You finally gave birth to our very beautiful baby girl. The doctors are cleaning her up right now but I promise when they finish I'll bring her over here to you" I said kissing her forehead. The nurses came back in with a swaddled baby and a clipboard with a paper and pen attached. The nurse holding our baby gave her to Harmony and I got the birth certificate. "Ok sir. All you have to do is fill in the blanks and bring a car seat and you guys can be out by tomorrow." The male nurse said.
I carefully looked over the birth certificate. I still didn't know what to name her but then I remembered the name I chose and the name Harm chose. Without her consent I put the pen to the paper and began writing.....
This is to certify that Malaysia Noriah Ellington Weighing 7 lbs and 2 ounces Was born on the 6th Day of July To Harmony Grace Edwards and Tyveon Christopher Ellington. In the year of 2015
----------------------------------------------I know this chapter probably caught y'all off guard but I still couldn't think of how I wanted to do the proposal so I just left it out and skipped to the birth of little Malaysia Noriah Ellington. Do y'all like the name? I do. Thanks honestly_nyla for the middle name. Imma do the proposal in the next chapter.
