The class erupted in cheers. And so, I figured that she has finished her paper. And right on time too, the bell ring only seconds after she finished.
As I was walking out I said to her.
"That was a great paper." She snickered.
"Yeah, 'cause, you were actually listening." You could practically see the sarcasm dripping off her words.
I laughed. She smiled.
" Well, I better get going. Can't be late to math." I said.
She nodded. I started walking away, I heard her holler "Hey! Wait, dude I was just talking too!" I whipped around to look at her.
"Two things: first, what's your name?"
"Spence." I stated.
"And second where is the geometry classrooms, spence?" She asked.
"Come on. Ill show you, that's my next class."
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The rest of the first half of school went agonizingly slow. But then again, it always does. It's not that I don't like school, it's that I could be doing other much more important stuff than sitting in a classroom all day. I sighed and looked around the lunch room for my tall best friend.
"Spence!" He called out. I saw him sitting at out usual table. Our table is set at the left side, in very middle of the room. Dean, and I weren't exactly popular, but we certainly weren't not popular, due to the fact that we were both on the varsity football team. I felt a smack the back of my head.
"Ouch!" I said. Dean shrugged.
"You were all like staring off into nothingness." He commented.
"That's no reason to hit someone!" I stated loudly.
He shrugged once again.
"It was creepy and stuff." I shook my head. I looked to the front of the room and saw a feminine figure making their way towards me.
"Hey.... What's your name again?" Jana asked.
"Spence." I told her.
"Ok, Spence," she said "Your the one who showed me where the geometry classroom is, right?"
"Yep, that's me."I answered.
"Okay." And she walked away.
"That was weird." Dean said.
"Yeah." I said.
"That's even weirder." Dean said with wide eyes.
"Wha-?" My sentence died in my mouth.
"Oh. My. Gosh." I said.
She was sitting there. With him. Okay, so there is this table that it in very back right corner. And there is this really weird Asian kid who sits there. His names like Tun something. Anyways, he's like, super weird, and stuff so no one ever sits with him. But there she was, sitting there with him. Man, this girl was really something. And what was almost as shocking as her sitting with him, is that he seemed to be enjoying her company, and even talk to her. This is so shocking because, about seven moths ago one of the guys on my football team, Andy, tried to sit with him and he broke down in tears, screaming his head off, while hitting Andy- quite hard- in the chest and face. After that no one bothered to sit with him.
"Well, well, what do we have here?!" One of the popular girls, Sandra I think her name is, exclaimed standing by Tun's table.
Jana looked around.
"We'll," she said "It looks to me, like some of the kids in school eating lunch in the lunch room." I snorted. Sandra looked taken a back.
"What was that?" She asked getting in Lana's face. And without warning, Sandra slapped her, right across her face. I was expecting Lana to slap her back, or punch her or something, because that's what us guys do, but instead, she just stood up, took a deep breath, smiled at her, but not a sweet smile you give to an old man trying to cross the road, no she gave her the I'm-trying-really-hard-not-to-bash-your-face-in smile. To be completely honest, it was petrifying. She then walked out the lunchroom double doors, they slammed together, and the room went deathly quiet, no one said a word the rest of lunch. An when the bell rang, everyone's as quick to get out of their seats, and make way towards the door.
