"Seriously?!" Kagami groaned. Once, he had asked Alex to go grocery shopping and she ('being the guest' she stated) didn't even get up from the couch, and now all of a sudden one of her other previous trainees came to visit her, he was expected to come with her.
"Alex, this is stupid why do I have to-" Alex snapped around and turned to face him, hand on her hips and green eyes steely like it was that day with Haizaki....
They were already at the booth at Magi Burger that her mysterious student had told her to meet them.
"You have to because I'm your senior, and I said so. Besides, aren't you a little bit curious as to what she's like?" Alex asked, raising an eyebrow. Kagami choked on his strawberry milkshake.
"It's a her?" Kagami demanded, wiping the excess milkshake from his chin.
"Yeah, I'm a girl. Is that a problem?" a voice asked to the left of him, and Kagami did a double take.
....what even?
He focused his attention to a 5'7 girl, (h/c) hair tied into a single braid to her right, piercing (e/c) eyes outlined with thick black eyeliner, (long/short) (colour) (thin/full) lips stretched into a frown and an overall intimidating aura. Her well toned arms definitely added to it.
"Not at all." Kagami replied, after regaining his composure. "If I had problem with female's playing basketball, Alex wouldn't be my coach."
From about 0-5 seconds, her scowl and intimidating face went happy. Her eyes lit up, and a big smile made its way onto her face. Cute. She laughed whole-heartedly, sitting next to Alex. Way too close, and by instinct Kagami was about to warn her when Alex kissed the girl full on the lips.
After she finished, Alex smirked and the girl smiled. If Kagami hadn't known any better, he would've thought the girl enjoyed it. "Nice to see you too Alex."
"How's my favourite female trainee doing?" Alex asked, laughing at the slightly flustered expression Kagami was wearing currently, still trying to comprehend what exactly is happening.
"Good, good. Now aren't you going to introduce me to this ripped, non-sexist gentleman in front of us?" the girl asked, winking at him causing him to go into another wave of flustered and confused emotions.
"(Last Name) (First Name), this is Kagami Taiga my best student. Kagami Taiga, (Last Name) (First Name)."
(Last Name) stuck out her hand. "Pleased to meet you, Kagami-kun."
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 They had hit it off, almost immediately. In fact, they were already on a first name basis despite Kagami's initial thoughts.Currently, they walking out of Magi Burger his arm wrapped around her hips, hand gripping her belt, talking in rapid-fire English making passerbys assume they were an American tourist couple, which was just as well since he didn't have to care for once.
It was nice to talk to someone of his age, who shared a similar past and she was just really open which made it easy for Kagami. Her outgoing attitude and just her general energetic aura was contagious. This wasn't at all what he had expected.
He thought this would (First Name) and Alex, but instead it was him. With Alex adding into the conversation as well. The girl came across as a little loud and keen at first, but she really did get to know Kagami well and suddenly it was like they had known each other their entire life.
Alex looked at them fondly, like it was her idea to begin with. And he supposed to some extent it was.
"So wait, we're actually staying in the same apartment building? Are you serious?" He asked in English.
"Apparently." She replied smiling, as Kagami removed his hand from her waist to ruffle her hair.
"That's amazing! So, will you be going to Seirin?" He asked excitedly, to which her smile shrank ever so slightly which Kagami took note of.
She shook her head. "No, actually I'm going to Rakuzan." She sighed, reverting back to Japanese. At that, both Alex and Kagami stiffened.
Noticing this, (First Name) raised an eyebrow. "What's up?"
Alex was the first to reply. "It's nothing all that bad, but last year one of Kagami's ,er, Baksetball rivals went to that school. In fact, both schools went to the finals. Seirin won." she explained, eyes darting towards Kagami.
"Oh. I see." (First Name) smiled turning towards Kagami, and lacing their fingers together. "Shouldn't be a problem than if you guys won. What's this rival like?"
This time Kagami responded, squeezing her hand before starting. "His name is Akashi Seijuro. He's 5'8 kinda skinny, red hair and red eyes. Really intimidating aura, and pale skin." Kagami began only to be cut off by (First Name).
"Oh yeah, I met him yesterday! I asked him where the Females basketball division was." She interjected. "When I asked what he was like, I meant by on court though. Not a description." (First name) laughed, looking at Kagami.
"Oh. Ooooooh. Okay, I get it. Well, all his moves are calculated and well thought out. He has good control over the ball, and he's super aggressive." Kagami shook his head. "But, he has two personalities. That was just one but-" this time it was Alex who spoke.
"Kagami you suck at explaining and (First Name) is as clueless as ever anyway, so let me take it from here."
"Akashi has two personas, if you will. The first of which, is more collected. In both forms, Akashi has a winning-mentality and defeat is an impossibility. His normal form is met with extreme precision and grace. Extremely well balanced rhythm, and accuracy in each pass. As for his special ability his eye can 'see every detail and predict the move his opponent makes' his 'Emperor's Eye' is what we call it. In his normal stage both eyes are red. However, his other persona is by far much more menacing and, in my honest opinion sociopathic. In this stage, he devalues team play in complete contact with his normal persona that brings the best in each of his players. To me, it's pretty obvious why he was the Captain of the Generation of Miracles."
It was quiet after the last statement, and (First Name) let go of Kagami's hand.
"The Generation of Miracles....I keep on hearing that name everywhere, I go. Who are they, and why are they so important?" She asked, looking at both Alex and Kagami.
Another deafening and awkward silence followed, and neither of them replied for awhile until, finally Kagami caved in.
"That is a story for inside. Let's eat something at my apartment, I'll cook." Kagami decided.
"But we just ate!"
"I'm hungry!"
