Chapter One

The Fresh Start

    Today was mine and Scotts first day of school. We don't really want to go but our dad is making us Junior year...great.

I wore my light washed skinny jeans and a teal t-shirt. I just put on my natural makeup; mascara, light foundation, and some lipgloss. I grabbed my jean jacket and headed down stairs.

"Good morning, sweetheart." my dad greeted with a smile.

"Morning dad." I said with a kiss on the cheek. I grabbed my cup of coffee before yelling at Scott to hurry up. It was our first day and we were gonna be late. He came running down the stairs with only one arm through his jacket and his backpack on his other arm. I handed him a cup of coffee before he ran out the door. "Bye dad love you." I said before grabbing my backpack and heading out the door.

When we pulled up to the school I asked Scott if he knew where the office was. He said he forgot. I sighed. I saw this pretty girl with brown hair and brown eyes, she was with her friend who was dark skinned and brown hair who was also pretty. I asked her where the office was. She told me to follow her. She seemed nice, her name was Elena and her other friend was Bonnie.

When we walking into the office there was another guy in there. He walked out when we walked in and smiled at us.

After we got out schedule we headed to out classes. Scott and I only had two classes with each other.

It was lunch time and I had no where to sit. I looked all around for Scott but I couldn't find him.

"Looking for a place to sit?" I hear a voice say. I turned around and it was a girl with blonde hair. "You could sit with me and my friends if you want." I smiled and nodded. When we got to the table Elena and Bonnie where there.

"Hey Ellie." Elena said. I said hi back and sat down.

"So tell us about yourself." Bonnie said.

"Well, I moved her from New York with my dad and my brother. My dad had a job so that's why we moved." I was debating on weather to to them about my mom and my brother or not to. "I'm sorry, what was your name?" I asked the blonde one.

"I'm Caroline." she said. "And this is Elena and Bonnie... but your knew that." she said with a slight laugh.

"So, Ellie, there's a bonfire later and I was wondering if you wanted to come with us." Elena said.

"Sure and is okay if my brother comes?" I asked. They nodded.

After school Scott drove us home. When we walked in the house was empty. Dad must be at work. I told Scott about the bonfire he said he would come.

A grabbed something to eat and started doing my homework. Yes homework on the first day. After I finished my homework I went up stairs and started getting ready for the bonfire.

I guess you could say this is becoming a fresh start.
