It was a chilly prewinter afternoon and it was lunchtime at Ambarton. Starry, Raina, and other people were outside during lunch break.
Raina went inside to go get her fuzzy new scarf since the wind chill increased.
Starry had recently dyed her hair maroon and it was very perfect to say the least.
Roshie Addams had a terribly done pixie cut and it had the color palette of vomit. She was used to getting talked about all the time. But now that Starry's hair was only five away from being Adam Levine's music group, Roshie was upset.
Starry thought to herself , " oh look, here comes Raunchie."
Starry giggled lightly at the nickname she created.
Roshie was wearing her trademark hot pink too-tight tee and her purple tank top with leggings that shouldn't be worn as pants. Also her shoes went to ugly boots to wedges that made her look like a newborn calf walking on ice.
She had resting bitch face as she wobbled up to Starry.
"Hey Ms. Soulless, how's that attention whore stunt you're pulling?"
Starry slammed her doodle book shut, snapping the pen inside in half, causing the ink to stain the lightly frosted grass.
Starry looked up at Roshie with dark eyes. " Just fine actually, why? Do you miss your job?"
Roshie looked at her friends and gave a certain look to them.
"I'll give you a deal, you come to my pool party, I'll leave you alone."
Starry smiled and said, " no thanks, I never liked whale watching."
Starry brushed off the random specks of grass of her ripped jeans.
Roshie full on slapped Starry across the face.
Raina came outside to see the to hitting eachother, mostly Roshie slapping Starry.
Raina instantly was filled with anger and ran up to Roshie and shoved her to the ground, pinning her arm underneath her.
"Roshie Addams, what the hell do you think your doing?"
Screamed Raina.
Raina's P.O.V
I came outside and saw Roshie Addams ( slut x100) messing with Starry so I ran over and pinned Roshie to the ground. I watched Roshie punch starry so I had a perfectly decent reason.
I remember slapping her across the face several times but then I was pushed against the stone walls next to a very colorful window. Roshie friends took me off of her and dragged me over to the " eternal shade" .
One of them had a pocket knife, purple and red to be detailed, and wasn't afraid to use it. I also remember someone mumbling lights out in French, a sharp pain, and blurs.
Then it was black.
Raina woke up on a comfy couch in the principals office.
She looked around the room.
Starry and Roshie were on separate ends of a table, while the principal was seated in a chair around the middle of the table. April and Mike were sitting in chairs next to the couch. Speaking to each other with their eyes.
Starry told the principal to call Mike, who she fibs about and called him her stepdad. Raina's sister was called, and Roshie mean aunt was called into the office. All of the older people just glared at each other quietly.
When Mike came into the office, Starry gave him the most convincing " I didn't do a single thing wrong smile" ever.
After a while the whole entire issue was settled. Roshie was suspended from school, Starry was given a trip to the guidance counselor, and Raina was checked my the school nurse, who said that she might have a slight concussion and recommended ice packs for a few days when needed.
Raina glared at Roshie every chance she got. And cursed her with the failures of the world.
As Mike was driving Starry to her house, they hit a stop light.
Mike slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out a bandage. And handed it to Starry.
She smiled and put it on her arm, where she was scratched by Roshie somewhere in the fight.
