THE LAND WHERE A HERO ONCE LIVED

Shade and Sakura along with Tazuna walked around the village, "Um, where are we going?" Sakura asked looking around at all the shops "you want to eat tonight don't ya? I need to pick up some things for dinner" Tazuna answered. Shade looked at all the people as they walked by "Thief! Thief!" A man shouted as a kid made his way into an alley with the stolen goods.

What caught both Shade and Sakura's attention were two kids sitting on the ground. They were poor, with nothing to offer. Their faces only held sorrow as they both lean on each other 'Guess someone not the only one' Shade thought as she kept walking. All three of you walked into a small shop, it didn't have much, just a couple of vegetables here and there. Shade looked around the store at the little food they had but stopped once she heard Sakura yelled "You Pervert!" She turned to look only to see her kick some guy across the face, making him some what fly out of the store.

"Wow, you really surprised me back there. Girls around here don't fight like that" Tazuna commented as all three of you walked back to his house." They should, there's something seriously wrong here" Sakura said angrily, Shade looked at Sakura as she stopped, she turned around mad "Hey buster!" This little girl looked at Sakura surprised from the sudden shouting, but extended her small hands "Please?" She said smiling. Shade looked at the little girl, taking out an apple she had brought with her on the mission "Here" she smiled at her placing the apple in her small hands. Sakura also gave her some candy in her hands.

The girl looked at her hands happy "Thank You!" She said running back to where she came from. Shade looked at Sakura, she showed pity for the small child "Once Tazuna finishes the bridge...life around here will change" she spoke. Sakura looked at her, surprised "Let's do our best and protect him till that day comes" Shade said smiling at her,Sakura smiled back "Yeah"

Both Shade and you looked up from your meal at both Naruto and Sasuke who were gobbling down their food." I want some more!!" They shouted standing up, bowl in hand, they look at each other and glared but soon sat down throwing up."Don't eat so much if your gonna puke it up!" Sakura yelled "I have to eat" Sasuke stated "And I have to eat more than him. It's the only possible way I'll get stronger and beat him" Naruto added. Kakashi nodded, commenting "That's true, but puking won't help you" "It's like your not even eating" you added still eating your meal.

Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Tazuna, Inari, you and Shade were sitting around the dining table drinking tea. Tsunami was washing the dishes and Sakura was looking at a torn picture hanging on the wall. The picture had 4 people. Tazuna, Inari, Tsunami and what looked like a man but you couldn't see who since the picture was torn.

"Excuse me. This picture is torn, is there some reason for that?" Sakura asked getting everyone's attention." Inari, you kept glancing at it through dinner, it looked like there was somebody else in the picture but they got torn out. I mean that's kinda strange isn't it?" Sakura continued, getting nothing but silence from all Tazuna's family "It's my husband" Tsunami finally answered breaking the silence. Tazuna looked down at the table adding "They used to call him a hero in this land" your eyes looked at Inari as he got up from his chair to leave.

"Inari where are you going?" Tsunami asked as Inari left the room in silence "Father you can't talk about him in front of Inari, you know that" Tsunami stated following Inari. The room stayed silent till Sakura spoke again "Inari is so... I mean, what happened to him?" Kakashi looked at Tazuna asking "is there a story behind this?" "he wasn't his real father. He came into our family later and he brought so much happiness. He and Inari were very close" Tazuna started you looked at the picture, thinking 'so this man...he was special to Inari'

"We did it!" Naruto and Sasuke entered the house, all beat up as they help carry each other. Shade immediately went to them and began to treat their wounds." Why do you try so hard!? You no match for Gato's men even if you do your training! When your facing the strongest, the weak like you will get killed!" Inari bursted out. You and Naruto glared at Inari "We're not like you" you said making everyone turn to you "What do you know about us? I'm different than you and so is Naruto. You don't know what I feel! You're always clowning around and laughing! You don't know how hard life can be!"

You felt something snap inside you making pull out a photo of your parents and you (pic above) you were about to say something but Naruto beat you to it." So it's ok for you to cry all day, you wimp!" Naruto looked pissed and you slammed your hand with the picture on the table and left out the house leaving the picture there sitting on the table. As you left, Kakashi looked at the picture, his eyes widen 'is this Akame and Saisuke' he thought then looking at Shade who was following Inari.

MEANWHILE
Shade sat down next to Inari "Naruto and (M/N) didn't mean any harm, by what they said" she told him, Inari ignored her and continued to stare out the ocean." Like you, Naruto didn't grow up with a father" she told him and Inari perked up she continued "Actually, he didn't now his parents and he never had a single friend. No one accepted him, he's had a rougher past than you to be honest. But never cries or complains" she sighed before continuing "but for (M/N) I don't know about him a lot though....he said he had a greater past than Naruto or someone else but, Naruto, he wants people to acknowledge him, so he always risks his life for that dream. He knows what it's like to be strong...like your father"
And with that she left Inari, as he stared at the ocean.
