"Just make sure to change the gauze in her mouth every few hours and she should be okay," Dr. Wizner instructed.

I nodded, taking the handles of Charlotte's wheelchair and pushing her out of the reception room. "Thanks doctor Waz!"

"It's Wizner!" He exclaimed just as the doors closed behind me.

"So, Char," I sighed. "You've finally got those wisdom teeth out of the way, huh?"

She only groaned in response, letting her head fall to the side.

"Alright, alright," I said, crossing the street to where I was parked. "How bad was it?"

"Afnu!" She mumbled through the wads of gauze in her mouth.

I paused. "I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good."

We got to my car, and Charlotte started to giggle uncontrollably as I tried to get her inside. "Ahwegoitoficrin?"

"No, we're not going to fight crime. Not now."

Charlotte nodded and lay down across the seat. I got in the front and started to drive when Charlotte mumbled, "Did you tell Henry?"

I was flabbergasted that there was a secret being kept from me, so I responded, "No I did not tell Henry! I wasn't aware a secret was being kept!"

Charlotte giggled. "Good! Caus... I would die if he knew my secret."

I shifted in my seat. The secret was about me?

"Hey, uh...Char? Mind reminding me of the secret? I, uh, forgot." I knew I was treading in dangerous waters but I had to try.

Charlotte sat up and slowly focused her eyes on me. She leaned around the seat and smacked my shoulder. "No! I can't do that, silly!"

I felt my heart drop. Damn it. If I didn't get it now, I never would.

"Because then," Charlotte continued. "You would know that I like Henry." Charlotte giggled and fell back over. "We can't have that."

I, on the other hand, almost swerved and hit a tree. Charlotte liked me? I never saw that coming, even though it seemed obvious now. What was I going to do once she came to?
