Chapter 18

*two weeks later*
AUGUST POV
"So how's it looking doc?" I looked at the monitor, trying to see if Analicia was really pregnant.

"Well Mr. Alsina congratulations you guys are definitely pregnant, 6 weeks to be exact." I sighed and rubbed my head.

"Thank you Dr. Russell" Analicia stood up and shook his hand.

"Don't forget to get your next appointment from Angela at the front desk." She nodded and walked out the door.

"I guess this is your birthday gift, from me to you" she said with a smirk as I waited for her to get her next appointment.

"So now do you believe me?" She had a fake smile on her face.

"Whatever" I sighed. I started the car and drove to her apartment complex.

They came back from the tour, a week ago and I just had to know if she was sure about being pregnant so I had to get her an appointment. She moved all her stuff out the guest house and I bought her an apartment. I paid her rent up to 6 months, but after that it's on her. We both agreed it would be weird to have her staying there, knowing that she was pregnant with my child.

I don't see myself being in a relationship with her, so she would just be in the way. I was determined to get Kierra back and I can't do that if Analicia was still staying there.

"So are you going to have this attitude forever?" I pulled up to the complex and put the car in park.

"I don't have an attitude, we just don't have anything to talk about outside of this child" she sighed and rubbed her flat belly.

"Does Kierra know about me being pregnant, or you too much of a chicken to tell her?" She smirked, but I didn't see a damn thing funny.

"No she doesn't and I'm not going to tell her until I'm ready, we're already in a bad place right now" I thought about how rough these last few weeks been for me without Kierra and the kids.

"Whatever August but you better be ready soon, because nine months will be here before you know it" she kissed my cheek and got out the car.

All this still seemed like a dream to me. I just can't imagine losing Kierra. If she found out about this baby, she would really leave my ass for good, without even looking back. I turned the radio up to drown out my thoughts and drove home.

Today was my birthday and I wasn't even trying to celebrate this year. Everything is different now, I don't have my wife or my kids. Kierra would've cooked me breakfast and the kids would've made me a card. Kierra haven't told me happy birthday but the kids were the first ones to tell me.

KIERRA POV
"Mommy did you tell Daddy happy birthday yet?" Kingsley danced around me.

"No baby" I let out a faint smile. Truth is, I wasn't trying to be petty by not telling August happy birthday, I just haven't had the time. As long as the kids told him, that's all that counts!

"Why? When are you going to tell him? Aren't we going to spend the day with him like always?"

"Kin! Baby calm down, listen mommy has work to do, I'll figure all this out later baby just please let me work" she nodded and ran up the stairs.

I started back typing on my laptop. Then my phone vibrated on the arm of the couch. I picked up the phone without looking at the caller ID.

"Talk to me" I sighed, still typing on my laptop.

"Well, hello to you too beautiful" I widened my eyes when I heard his voice.

"I'm sorry Chris, people have been aggravating me all day and I have work to do"
