Your Boyfriend Is My Drug Dealer

The silence...

I heard the car engine start, which broke the silence.

Nathan's P.O.V :

Lea didn't speak a word for the whole journey back. I tried talking to her, but all I got was nods, shakes, and shrugs. Her mom didn't seem to care. I was worried about Lea, she usually doesn't stop talking. All she did was rest her head on my shoulder, with her arm across my stomach.

The rain was hitting against the car windows as the window wipers made it clear to see from the front. Nobody spoke a word, except Nathan, trying to get Lea to say something. But it made it clear that Lea didn't want to say anything.

Lea's mom's P.O.V :

As I was driving, all I could hear is Nathan blabbering on, trying to talk to Lea. Can't he just stay quiet? I've never had a good feeling about Nathan, everyone sees him as trust-worthy, and understandable. I just see him as shady. I need to have a word with Lea about 'IT'. I don't want to see my girl in tears because of him.

Half way home, they passed 'Taco Bell'.

''Do you want a taco, Lea?'' her mom asked.

There was no response. She turned around to see Lea, just staring out of the window, emotionless.

Nathan was looking down at Lea, stroking her hair.

''Would you like anything, Nathan?'' Lea's mom questioned.

''No thanks, I'm fine.'' Nathan replied quietly.

They arrived home. Before anyone got out of the car, Lea' s mom got a phone call.

''Is this Mandy?'' The person on the other line asked.

''Yeah, this is Mandy.'' Mandy answered, confused.

''I know it's your day off work today, but may you be able to come in? Because Katie is not able to make it to work, and we need staff in, desperately.'' Her manager stated.

''Okay, what time?'' Mandy sighed.

''10pm, tonight.'' Her manager said with no expression.

''Ok, will be there.'' Mandy said, quickly.

Before her manager had time to reply, she hung up, and placed her cell phone back in her pocket.

They all got out of the car, eventually. And stood on their drive.

''Lea, I got to go to work at 10pm, so you'll be alone for the night... Unless Nathan would stay with you?'' Her mom stated.

Lea mutters back. ''Yeah, okay.''

''But. Before I go, I need to talk to you. Privately.'' her mom said, sternly.

Lea grabbed Nathan's arm, gently, and they both went upstairs. Lea heard her mom shout after her.

Lea's P.O.V :

I heard my mom shout after me while me and Nathan we're going upstairs. I let out a big sigh, and told Nathan to stay upstairs, while I go see what she wants.
