HAPPY NEW YEAR. I know that I took a long time, but I wanted to thank you all. You guys have know idea how much your words meant to me. I've never felt more understood and content then when I read what you guys all wrote. And I don't really know how to thank you for being there all this time.

One idea I did have is a Q&A of sorts. If you guys would like, that is, I would be willing to answer any questions you guys have about me, or you could even send in questions to ask the characters of the story. It's just an idea, but tell me what you guys think.

Thank you for being so patient with me and I hope you enjoy this chapter

"Poke me again and I swear to Zeus that I will not hesitate to stab you in the eye with this pen!"

After spending the last ten minutes being repeatedly poked in the side by Travis as Katie was regretting not slapping him as she had considered when he woke her up that morning.

"You two argue like an old married couple," Thalia called over he shoulder as she ran past with her clipboard and scavenger list, Nico holding a backpack with a the stuff they had already collected as he trailed behind her.

"Says you!" Katie yelled back with a grin, pointing out the fact that it seemed like her and Nico couldn't have a civil conversation without arguing over petty things, her dilemma with Travis momentarily put on hold.

Thalia rolled her eyes and scowled, although her eyes were laughing and..... no.....it couldn't be.

As the two black-haired teens dissapeared around the Apollo cabin, Thalia shooting a glare at Nico as he muttered something, Travis and Katie stood in a surprised silence.

"Did Thalia......blush....?"Travis asked slowly.

"I want to say she did, but..."

There was a moment of silence as Travis and Katie stared at each other in shocked silence.

"You know, we probably just imagined it," Travis finally concluded with a shrug.

"That's the first thing we've ever agreed on," Katie said, a bit grudgingly, with a small nod, glancing back at her list.

"No, I'm pretty sure we've both agreed that I'm hot," Travis quipped back.

Katie hummed absentmindedly in response as Travis jogged a few feet in front of her and she was trying to mentally organize where everything on the list would be.

When she finally realized what he had said, she let out an offended, "Hey!" and started chasing after him.

This was gonna be a long day.

"Aw, come on Kit-Kat!"

Katie continued to stare down at her once-white, grass stained vans as she stalked towards the dining pavilion to meet the rest of her cabin for dinner.

"You didn't even want to do this in the first place!"

So the curly-haired idiot might have had a point, but Katie would get rather get struck down by the gods before admitting it.

Rolling her eyes, she continued to ignore him and sped up just a bit. But it was in vain, since she felt a warm hand grabbing her elbow and she face-planted into a hard chest, though she'd deny ever having that thought.

Looking up, and cursing the fact that she had to look up, Katie glared up into his amused face.

Did he always that scar above his eyebrow?

"Like what you see?" Travis asked as he noticed Katie's gaze lingering, the glare and anger subconsciously seeping from her gaze as she got lost in her thoughts.

"Don't get cocky, Stoll," she snapped when his words registered, annoyance making an appearance in both her eyes and voice.

With a swift jab to his side, she continued walking towards the food. But as she reached there at last, she had lost her appetite and simply grabbed two apples, one for her and one for the fire.

Miranda raised a questioning eyebrow at her as she plopped down and bit angrily into the apple.

"Trouble in paradise?" the younger brunette asked her, eyeing how her cabin leader huffed and crossed her arms.

"Travis spent almost the entire time messing around. We could have won the scavenger hunt if it weren't for him wasting my time."

"What happened to 'This scavenger hunt is so stupid. I don't want to do this!'?" Miranda asked, referring to their conversation from breakfast.

Katie couldn't stop the blush from spreading over her cheeks, rolling her eyes when she couldn't come up with a response.

Alright, so maybe she hadn't wanted to participate in the scavenger hunt in the beginning. But she didn't want to be woken up -especially by Travis- for nothing. And then it started and Katie was thinking that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be so bad. Because Travis cracked little jokes that made her have to fight off a grin. He was surprisingly smart, working out the little riddles and clues. He messed around and was easily distracted, but Katie didn't mind, in fact she found it entertaining to just stand there and watch him have fun, in a way that she never truly experienced.

All of that enjoyment went down the drain when she remembered the only reason she was spending time with him- it was all a show.

And she realized that time was almost up and projected all her sadness and annoyance for the feelings that she couldn't deny having, but didn't want into being upset with him for wasting their time.

She was going to have to get a hold of these feelings, otherwise she wouldn't live to see the end of the 'fake relationship.'
