Chapter 17

 That's Eli!  :)

Yuki:

One the way home, I just felt nervous. Eli felt it too while he drove me home. 

"If you don't want to talk to her, I will." He said, holding my hand.

"No. It is best if I do it." I replied, giving a gentle squeeze. I knew my grandmother, and if anyone knew her no one could make her spill anything but maybe me.

We arrived finally turning away from the woods and into a wooden small home. Butterflies in my stomach made me feel nauseous, but I ignored it. Walking in the house I called I was home like regular, but no one answered.

"Nana?" I asked again and then looked in kitchen where she leaves a note to say she is not home. To my surprise its not there.

"Nana?!" I yelled panicked, running to her room. No one was home and there was nothing to show she left. Her purse was still there with money.

What?!

The garden?

I ran outside and sense our yard is so big, I ran for a minute to even reach the garden. "NANA!"

"Right here sweetheart! What's your yellin for!" She came out in long white light shirt, her hat, and her shorts. "I thought something happened to you. Why didnt you leave a note?" I snapped breathing for the first time.

"Find her?" Eli yells running over to us. "Yes." I say sighing. He just comes over, gives me his amazing smile, and holds me. "She's ok... So its ok, yuki." He soothed.

"What in gods name?" Nana snapped. I cut her off, "I am mates with Eli, Nana." Her reaction was normal, like she already knew. "I saw that coming. Goddess really knows how to change things up." Was all she said.

"Wait you know about werewolf's and you never told me?" I was overrun by so many questions but that was the first that came out of my tounge. "What elts you hiding?"

Nana just sigh and mentioned us inside. Looked at Eli and he took my hand to go inside. Taking a deep breath, we all head inside. Whatever my grandmother was going to tell me I have to be able take it all in. Am I ready?

You were born ready! Voice said.

"Sit down and I will answer only a few for now. I will say what you need to know." She looked at us both in the eye, "understood?"

Eli and I just shook our heads waiting for her to explain.

She just took a deep breath and stared at me for a while. "Well your mother's side was a werewolf line. She was a werewolf herself, but your grandfather, my husband... well he just didnt." she paused trying to find the words to describe how he was. "He loved her, but he hated her wolf. Anyways every year or so our families would all come together, but we grew apart. There are stories from your father side as well that apparently his family is special. For they are casters, they use elements."

"Elements? Like water element that the priestess had in our history? I heard she was able to heal and control the water inside of you. She died from overpower when her husband died. Power took over her, is that true?" Eli asked, Nana just nodded her head,
"Yes, but not all. But to answer your question, our family had the gift of elements, but only very very few. Those who did was in charge for saving and protecting our own." She looked sad, "but the one who was failed."

I remembered the accident, "Their deaths weren't an accident was it?"

"No. I told you it was because you were to young. Now I can tell you because not only you have me to protect you," she looks at Eli with a glare, "you have him."

"That history you have, is not all correct. She didnt die because of overpower, she dies from her love from her husband. They were mates and he was a werewolf and he couldn't protect her. When your mate dies, your other half on your soul dies, that is if you meet and see each other. So she grew insane and used those powers to bring him back alive, and with that cast cost great great price. Her spell worked, but he was angry at what she done and went for revenge against her. He.." she stopped and sniffed.

"Nana? Are you ok?" I held her hand and she gave me a small squeeze, "Yes it is a sad story and I can feel how she felt. Its one of the things I have. Which gets me to another thing I must tell you child."

"Tell me anything, I will take it, or I will try my hardest. This is a lot to take in. You told me before I was special, but I didnt think you meant like with, powers or supernatural."

"Before I can get into that dear, I must ask. How good is your memory?" Her question through me off, "What?"

"You don't remember your past. I am responsible for that my child. When you have nightmares, your memory of your childhood comes back. You had terrible memories before I took them. So, to be able to remember, you have to go through them first and then the good memories with your parents. The thing is, you were way to young and you couldn't go through it. You... almost killed yourself many times. You were depressed and I asked if you wanted to take them away and move and you told me yes. You begged me over and over for years and I never listened till I found those scares." She pointed to me and all of a sudden its like I could see my body differently.

"Why couldn't I see them before?!"

"Or me?!" Eli said looking the scars on my arm. His eyes were black and he was clearly mad.

"It was a casting my child. I have an element." I was to shocked, so many more questions went through my head, but it was to much. "What the bloody hell happened to me?"

"I think that is enough for today. I told you to much, you need to soak it all in. You don't want to overwork it. Your wolf needs to relax and not have so much stress."

"WOLF?!" Eli and I yelled together, "I am a werewolf?!"

"No impossible! She should have turned already." Eli snapped standing up.

"We are late because we are stronger and more powerful than regular werewolf's. We are special like I said before. But..Yuki is more special. Her parents are two different things and never have I ever had it been combined."

"What combined?" I tried to say, she gave me a bright smile.

"You are a werewolf, but you, my child, are an element. You are the first to be gifted by both. That element is building inside of you and I don't know what one it is yet. Only you can decide what it is. You have the power to control and choose an element.
