I wasn't clingy anymore. I was no longer a spider waiting for someone to get stuck in its web of friendship. I didnt have to be.
I knew that no matter what I did, this group of friends I now had would never leave my side. I no longer had to cling in order to be sure that the friendship would hold together.
It just would.
Through heat, frost, wind, rain, hail, through anything, these friends would always be friends, and now I was their friend too.
So thank you to all my old best friends who left me. Thank you to those of you who stopped talking to me. You have taught me a valuable lesson.
I shouldn't have to stick like tape to my friends, I should just hang out with the right people, the people who are like me.
And thank you to the group who took me in. You changed my life. I will always be me no matter what. And I will always have your back because I know you will always have mine.
