Two hours later I was sitting on the couch in shock. Hearing his little cries in the air made me cry. Marie placed him on my chest, quickly getting the umbilical cord clamped and cut.

His nose was so small and his cheeks were slightly chubby. I looked at Ahk who stood amazed at the sight of him "He's so beautiful." He whispered.

Marie took Bonami off my chest before drying him off, looking over everything on him. "His APGAR is at a 8" she called out, I sighed happily.

She handed him to us, I scooted forward so Ahk could sit behind me and hold me to himself. "What are you going to name him?"

I stroked his cheek lovingly, causing him to turn his head towards me before settling down. "Bonami Charles Ahkmend." I said looking down at him.

Then I felt a slight gushing feeling coming out of me, "M-Marie?" I said softly. She turned to me and gasped.

"Ahkmenrah take your son and call an ambulance." She said quickly before everything went to hell.

"Whats going on?" I managed to say before my world went black.

-------------------

I've always hated hospitals, that was the place where the doctors only had bad news for my family. Both my grandparents died in a hospital, aunts and uncles either died here or received news that they would die.

It's only fitting that I follow in their footsteps, after all, every fairytale has an ending. No one said it would be a happy ending.

Ahkmenrah's POV

The doctors took her away from us as the thing called an ambulance pulled us into the back lot of the medical building.

Marie was talking to the doctors as I sat in one of the chairs in the lobby with my son sleeping in the carrier next to me. In all the chaos, one of the paramedics grabbed the car seat and buckled Bonami into it.

My head pounded at the millions of thoughts of what was happening to my love. I stared blankly at my hands, covered in blood. Why did there have to be so much blood? I asked myself.

A hand touched my shoulder, I jerked around and saw a half scared lady standing there. "Sir, my name is Rose-"

"Where's my love? Where's Natasha?" I cut her off, praying she held good news about her.

"I have no news about your loved one sir, but I'm here to get you cleaned up and to look over your son."

I nodded wordlessly as I picked up the carrier and walked down the hall, she stopped at a well lit room that was almost completely white. The room smelled terrible, it smelt like death.

I sat down on the bed, the paper crinkled under me. She worked quickly and quietly, the blood was soon gone.

"What's his name?" She asked motioning to the small child.

"His name is Bonami Ahkmend." I said softly, leaving off his actual title of crown prince of Egypt as Natasha said that people didn't understand our situation.

She was about to say something until someone else knocked on the door. An older man walked into the room, "Hello, I'm Dr. Karen. I have some news about your fiancé." He paused looking down at some charts, I stood up waiting for him to speak. My mind started racing again and the possible situations she could be in were not good.

"There seems to be a great amount of tearing within the vaginal walls which were torn during birth. Now she is currently stable as we temporarily stopped the bleeding but it needs to be fixed with surgery. If she doesn't get the surgery now, she will eventually bleed out. This is a higher risk surgery due to her condition.

"According to her records she was placed on bed rest due to a fall down some steps. This and a previous stress test shows that she must have been in a pressuring environment-"

"Are you accusing me of physically abusing my fiancé?" I spoke coldly, my body went ridged as I stared him down.

"No sir, I am merely stating that these factors are going to create a higher risk surgery. I need you to be aware that this will a long and extensive operation." He spoke calmly, almost completely unaffected by my stare.

"Do the surgery. Whatever it takes, I want her alive and well." I looked at Bonami who was being bottle fed by Rose, "We both need her."

------------

"I can't stand sitting here." Larry complained as he got up and started pacing the floor. My leg bounced up and down as I looked around the dull room.

We've been here for three or more hours, shortly after I got back to the waiting room Larry and his ex wife showed up.

Her new husband went to pick up Nick and some food to eat but I couldn't even think about eating. Bonami cried a bit and I went down to pick him up but Natasha's mom got to him before me.

"I'll take care of him for a bit, you need to rest."

Many families had moved throughout the room, some had minor cases such as their dad sliced his finger open or a family member had a bad cough. Other cases were more serious, a family came in with the story that their son had broken his leg and the bone was out of the skin.

Everything seemed to be exaggerated, each 'tick' of the clock was deafening, a cough from a small child was a thunder storm in its own right.

Nick came in and sat down next to me, "Is she going to be okay?" He asked, and I gave my best fake smile I could muster "Of course she is. Your sister is a tough woman." I patted his leg before the door opened and Dr. Karen walked in.

He tried to hold himself together and give off a neutral look but his eyes spoke way differently. Natasha's mother had placed Bonami back into his carrier before standing up. We all stood except for Nick as he kept Bonami company.

Dr. Karen looked to the floor for a while before he finally lifted his head.

As our eyes met, I sensed that something was terribly wrong.

"I'm here to inform you that Natasha..."
