* AALIYAH'S HOUSE *

Aaliyah - Ok , Aaron all done. Ready to go by daddy ?

Aaron - yaayy !

Aaliyah - Ok, go get your bag and meet me outside.

AALIYAH'S POV :

Im not even gonna lie, I hated bringing Aaron to his dad's house. Don't get me wrong here, Ray is a wonderful dad to Aaron. But, his wife on the other hand annoys the hell out of me. We have been in the same group of friends since 15 and everybody knows Star was always jealous of me & Ray. But i guess you can say she got what she wanted, her & Ray are married and im just the baby momma...

Aaliyah - AARON ! are you ready ?

Aaron - *hopping down the stairs* coming mommy

Aaliyah - Don't do that, your gonna fall. Now get in the car !

- on the way to Ray's house -

Aaron - mommy ?

Aaliyah - yes, aaron ?

Aaron - why aren't you and daddy together ?

AALIYAH'S POV :

Aaron caught me completely of guard with that question. I knew it was coming one day, but he is only 4, I didn't expect it this soon. How do I tell a 4 year old about something like this ? I have to keep it as simple as possible.

Aaliyah - Well Aaron, daddy doesn't love mommy.

Aaron - why mommy ?

Aaliyah - well, he loves mommy. But as a friend, Star is his wife, he loves her very much.

Aaron - oh,

AALIYAH'S POV :

It took everything in me not to break down and cry. I knew I had to be strong though.....for Aaron.

- Ray's House -

Aaliyah - *rings doorbell*

Ray - *opens door* AARON, my little man !

Aaron - DADDDYY !

Aaliyah - His clothes are in his bag, and try not to let him play in his jordans ok ?

Ray - Dang Arie , Ok i get it !

Aaliyah - *sighs* Ray, i was just saying ok ?

Star - *comes to door* Haay Aaron !

Aaron - Hey Star !

Ray - Let's go play the game Aaron. *closes door *

AALIYAH'S POV :

Well damn, he didn't have to close the door in my face ! That's why I absolutely hate bringing Aaron over, Ray always has something to say.

- Later that night -

* Aaliyah's House *

*car pulls up*

Roc - *knocks on door*

Aaliyah - Hey you guys, I'll be ready in one second.

Ki'loni - You are never ready !

Aaliyah - sorry

Roc - Where is my god son at ?

Aaliyah - At his dad's house. Do yall know what Aaron asked me today !

Ki'loni - What did he ask ?

Aaliyah - He asked me why me & Ray aren't together.

Roc - Are you serious ? I couldn't imagine explaining that to him.

Aaliyah - EXACTLY, it took everything in me not to stop that car on the side of the road and cry my eyes out !

Roc - wow......

Aaliyah - It's just really hard raising Aaron without a father figure here 24/7

Ki'loni - You do a damn good job of it !

Aaliyah - I try, but it just breaks my heart because every night he wakes up around 12:00 midnight and cries for his daddy.

Ki'loni - What do you do ?

Aaliyah - Shit, i can never get him to stop. Like, what can i do. Ray isn't there so i have nothing else to do but let him cry. Shoot, sometime I just sit there and cry with him, I know it's hard for him when he wants his daddy, but can't have him. I just let him scream & holler until he cries hisself to sleep.

Roc - DAMN, you get the mom of the year award. I could never do that, I would be then choked that lil nigga with all that crying.

Aaliyah - *laughs* that's just why he can't sleep at yall house.

Ki'loni - We need to get going, unless yall want to sit here and starve.

Aaliyah - Yes we need to get goin, I need a night of no crying !
