{The gang are all eighteen-Except Teresa}

(Thomas POV)

It was a year.

But we survived.

After Theo's attack on us we had all made it. But pieces of us were missing. It was as if Brenda had slipped off the face of the earth. She didn't answer her calls,neither did her parents. Something's changed,my friends are quieter,so scared. Scared for one another. Newt doesn't talk much anymore and Minho lives with a broken heart. I can't fix it,I can't fix any of this. Every time I try to fight back it just gets worse. It's seems like there's no point in fighting because Theo will come back. We're just not strong enough anymore.

I sigh as I see Teresa and Aris sitting there,their hands entwined. They look so happy,hope for us all. I sigh and sit with Minho on the wall,he just looks down.

"How can Teresa be so happy?" He asks.
"She's sixteen and in love. First love. Do you know what that's like?"
"Trust me,I remember," he whispers,my mind flooding back to Brenda as my heart breaks again. I was used to it but it hurt every single time. Every second worse than the last.
"We're not close anymore. None of us. You and Newt don't fool me,you're lying to us all,you're lying when you say it's gonna be okay. Don't lie to me Thomas,after all this,please don't fucking lie,"
"Newt believes it. I believe Newt,"

(Minho POV)

I wander to the shed as shock meets my eyes. Brenda sits there,smiling. Most her hair gone but she looked perfect.

I figured to myself that it was just a plain old hallucination. I'd imagined this situation about a billion times in my head but not once did I think I had a possibility of it becoming a reality.

"It's you," I cup her cheeks and kiss her softly,savouring the moment as the tears stream down her face.
"I told you I'd come back," she smiles "Eventually. I knew it was all about to fall apart. I'm not letting it happen,not to you. I still love you Minho,"
I hug her "I love you too."

We pull apart to see them all standing by the door-Newt,Thomas,Gally,Sonya and Teresa.

"We're all here?" Gally asks.
"Yeah," I nod "We're here to save our lives,all of us,"
"So where are we going?" Teresa asks as she squeeze onto Thomas' hand.
"To Theo," I reply "He tried to kill Newt and we need to stop this before we all die."

We all through the abandoned forest to a large rock building. I shake heavily as we decide to split up. I kiss Brenda gently and walk with Newt,crouching down.

I sigh and watch him as I see the red mark on his neck. He doesn't cover it.

"Do you want the scarf on the wound?" I ask.
"No," he smiles.
"Why not?"
"Because," he crouches closer and puts his hand on my shoulder "Minho, someone tried to strangle me and I survived. I shouldn't have to hide that,"

I crash him into my arms,hugging him tight.
"I love you Newt,you're an amazing friend,"
"I love you too Minho,"

We pull away and he wipes my tears.
"It's gonna be okay,"
"How do you know that?"
"Because it has to be,"

Just then hands grab at me and I'm thrown to the ground.

Seeing nothing but darkness...

(Newt POV)

I look around to see Sonya beside me. The door was locked,there's just a simple computer which I lean down to.

"What's the pass?" Sonya whispers.
