1864 April 9th ⏳
A woman ran through the forest. Her bare feet touching the rough forest ground, making bruises and cuts appear. She had her hands in front of her, to avoid tree branches, but it wasn't helping, as deep cuts started forming on her hands and small bruises on her face. Her beautiful, lilac dress had many holes and scratches. From a beautiful braid, her hair turned into a mess.
She ran, not even feeling the ground, when she finally saw the end of the forest. There, in the middle of the area, stood a little, wooden house. She started running faster.
With her whole heart, she felt, that it was too late, but she refused to believe that.
As she ran closer and closer to the house, she saw a woman, with dark complexion, sitting and waiting for her. Older one, stood up, when she saw younger one coming. When the girl reached the house, older one stood up. She quickly hugged the girl and looked her in the eyes.
"You came back" Older one said, one tear escaping her eye. The girl wiped it off.
"I found the cure" The older one suddenly took a step back, like she saw a demon.
"There is no cure, Guinevere" The older one said. Guinevere shook her head and took a step. "Stop! It's too late!" She ignored older woman and walked into the house, older one close behind, trying to stop Guinevere from what she was up to.
"Amma, I know what I'm doing, trust me" Guinevere said while walking through the house, searching for the right room.
"It's too late. He doesn't belong here anymore" Amma sighed, still trying to stop her, but Amma knew her words won't fix Guinevere's stubbornness. They both stopped at the right door. It was dark oak wood door, with beautiful cravings on it. Guinevere breathed in heavily and slowly opened door. She walked in and stopped breathing. This room brought back so many memories. Good ones.
In the room was a little table with one chair. Another chair was besides a bed and a little night table with white flowers on it. Little window had light blue curtains. But first thing you could notice while walking into room was a man lying on the bed. His lifeless body was dressed with his old clothes. His complexion was pale, almost grey. Eyes closed, hands on his chest.
Guinevere slowly walked closer to him, as she saw her love, dead in the bed. She felt a lonely tear go down her cheek. She didn't waste her energy to wipe it off, she just let it go. But more and more tears came. Guinevere didn't try to stop them, she just took her love's hand and silently cried. She felt his cold hand and cried more. Amma stood in the door frame, seeing her grandchild so broken and not being able to do anything. Guinevere closed her eyes, slightly lowering her head, making few strands of hair fall on her face while holding his hand, and letting her pain go out.
Suddenly, Guinevere slowly opened her eyes, raised her head and looked at him. She stopped crying. He looked so peaceful, just like sleeping. But he was too pale. And she knew he wasn't sleeping. She didn't want to let him go. And she wasn't. Burning anger rose in her chest, as Guinevere cursed at the person, who did this to her love. She said to herself, that he is going to pay no matter how.
"I can save you, Henry" she whispered to him and kissed one cheek. Amma heard it and walked closer to Guinevere, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Sweetheart, there is no saving him. He is in a better place now" Guinevere just shook her hand, rejecting the reality. She stood up, letting Amma's hand fall to her side. Guinevere walked closer to Henry and put a hand on his chest, near his already dead heart. Amma looked at her with fear in her eyes, when she realized what Guinevere wanted to do, but it was too late. Amma ran to stop Guinevere, but was thrown back to the wall, while a round wall covered Guinevere and Henry. Amma couldn't move, she was being held by something she didn't see. Guinevere started to chant, feeling her hand go warm and it took all over here. In the middle of her chanting, she felt Henry's heart slowly start to beat, but she didn't stop. Her voice got louder, as she chanted harder, feeling more and more weak. Guinevere started feeling guilt, love, anger, happiness, rage, darkness, sadness, weakness, strength - all of them at the same time.
Feelings overwhelmed her, but she tried to put them away and chanted louder, almost screaming the words. As Henry's heart started to beat faster, Guinevere felt more weak.
"Obsecro ut revertar!" She suddenly stopped and everything disappeared: feelings and now she felt empty. Guinevere breathed heavily, as the wall slowly disappeared and Amma could finally stand up. She looked at Guinevere, her eyes full of fear and horror.
"Guinevere, how could you do this?" Amma whispered. Guinevere looked at her grandmother, her face wet from falling tears. She looked down and waited. Suddenly, Henry breathed in and opened his eyes. Guinevere looked at him, smile spreading on her face. Henry slowly sat up and looked at her, but he didn't look the same. He wasn't same. Guinevere noticed that. Henry didn't look happy as usual, he didn't have smile, his expression had no emotions. You could almost say that he was angry. Guinevere's smiled dropped. She walked few steps back, looking at Amma and seeing horror in her eyes. Guinevere's eyes got back to Henry. He just sat there, not saying anything. Then Henry looked at Guinevere, his face twisting a little bit.
"You did a wrong thing" he looked like a lunatic, his voice sounded monotonous. "I shouldn't be here" he said only one emotion felt in his voice: anger. Henry looked at Guinevere angry, and slowly started to lay down. Guinevere quickly ran to him, tears forming at corners of her eyes.
"Henry, please don't leave me" she pleaded, but he ignores her, as his head reaches pillow and he slowly closes his once blue, now grey eyes. He let out his last breath, as his heart stopped beating. Guinevere started crying.
"I love you" she said, when suddenly she felt pain. It was everywhere and Guinevere started screaming. She heard Amma say:
