Getting back to the apartment from the library, Chris couldn't help but smile. When that girl just smiled at him, and then continued walking to the stairs at the same time as him, it just made him happy. She showed up at the library only moments after himself. And every chance he had he would glance over at her seeing her diving into her work, but something seemed off about it. She looked as though she had something distracting her. This caught Chris as interesting, he wanted to know what she was thinking about.

But Chris being himself stayed and worked on his homework, even though half the time he was reading an old cook book and righting down notes that would improve his cooking. But, he still got his work for law done, because this is the way that he learns. Chris has to go back and forth with cooking and whatever he was supposed to be studying in order for him to under stand it.

Eventually Chris remembered that there was another thing he was going to do that night, that ballroom performance. Oh, I sure hope she will be there, and if she is, I hope that I have the chance to talk to her. Chris thought to himself.

Then he remembered what the Wendy's cashier told him so long ago. "Almost everyone around here goes to those performances." He got pretty excited when he remembered this.

Going to his bed he took a power nap to be ready for the performance.

*****************

At 6:30 Chris woke up by a hand on his shoulder.

"Come on! We need to leave asap if we want to get there on time." Chris heard Thomas say.

"Right. I'll be out in a sec." was his reply as he got up from his bed.

Heading out the door and getting into the car Thomas asked "So how was your day?" He knew Chris was studying all day, but the silence of Chris was killing him.

"Well I went to the library. Tried to study but it got kind of hard." Chris replied. "So I came back here to take a nap." Chris didn't want to say anything about the girl, because that's not something people normally want to discuss with him. But, he still couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Well, that is not the best of days." Thomas said. "Are you prepared to make this day a better one? We are going to go parting with my brother after his performance!!"

"Okay cool."

This is when they arrived at the venue for the performance. They both got out of the car and walked a bit to get inside, they had to park pretty far away because of all the cars already here. Getting inside they paid and got to the seats that Thomas said was the best in the house. Sitting down Chris could tell that this was going to be interesting.

Before it started Chris couldn't help but look around trying to find the girl from the library. Sadly he couldn't find her anywhere. He looked on the program to distract himself from thinking about her.

The lights dimmed and a small performance from a cute little junior ballroom dance team started. They did pretty good, and when they were done the whole audience cheered. But, this was not the expected couple yet.

It said on the program that Zipporah and Greg were going to dance two numbers tonight.  But, in between were a couple team productions for less advanced teams and couples.

Finally the first performance by Zipporah and Greg was here. The crowd went silent, and the lights were dimmed to a dark red. With the dramatic music starting the crowd cheered. Zipporah and Greg came on stage and danced a fierce tango. The lifts they did could hurt her pretty badly if Greg didn't know what he was doing. But they were also quite beautiful. When the music stopped and they walked of stage, everyone stood up and cheered.

Chris was impressed, he had never seen someone move with such beauty and elegance. Chris was so enchanted he didn't realized when the next dance started. He was just wondering how much time it took for them to learn everything that they just did.

Soon it was time for Zipporah and Greg to dance again. This time Chris focused on the couples facial expressions. This time the dance was an elegant waltz, the music was slow and the lights were a light blue. Their faces showed love and beauty. With the flowing of the music they seemed to be as one.

The music stopped and the couple stopped to take a bow, this is when Chris really saw Zipporah's face. With shock, Chris recognized the girl. This was the girl from the library.

This was the girl who smiled at him as she left the library. This was the girl that he couldn't take off his mind. This was the girl he was looking for, only moments ago, in the audience. This was the girl he wished he said "hi" to. The girl Chris had been wanting to talk to all day was Zipporah, a famous ballroom dancer.
