They're Back!

Chapter 7--No Cure But Rest

"What's the verdict Molly? What did the doctors say about him?" Lily asked franticly as she helped get a sleeping Harry onto the living room couch. "The doctors, as you can see, did their best to heal most of his physical wounds." Molly said, correctly, of course. Harry did look substantially better now than he did earlier when James said that Harry would go that morning. "All they say we can do now is let him rest," Molly continued, "it's the only cure. And because of the painkillers they used, he's going to need even more than before. The doctors say it could be another three months before he's up on his feet, or playing quidditch." Lily looked down at her son, who was still sleeping on the couch. "How long would it have been initially?" she asked. "Oh, just a couple weeks shorter. "Molly replied, "Not much of a difference, really." "Oh." Lily muttered. "I'll go tell James."

James was pacing in Harry's room when Lily walked in. "Hey," he said, "how is he?" "The doctors healed him a bit," Lily said with a sigh, "aside from that, he just needs rest, a lot of it." James give her a questioning look, "How much?" Lily sighed "About three months, and he'll be asleep for most of it." It was James's turn to sigh, "I was afraid of that. On the bright side, we can fix up Godric's Hollow while he's resting, and then we'll move in once he's ready." Lily sat down next to her husband, "No James, Harry needs us here with him. He can help with the house once he's better." "Alright," James said, "I just wish they was a way to speed this up." "I know James," Lily said, "but Molly and the doctors both said, there's no cure but rest."

"A way to speed this up." Severus said to himself, "I wonder what ingredients that potion would require." He smiled at the thought as he slipped away from Harry's room.
