Abroad (A Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 12

"Babe wake up." I hear someone say and I feel this poking on my side.

My eyes flutter open to see Niall. That's right my sister. Niall hands me his SnapBack to wear and some sunglasses. He senses the confused look on my face. "It's sunny out there."

I laugh,"Niall it's called the south."

Niall rolls his eyes and grabs my hand.

"I've got people who are going to drop our bags outside the hotel."

"What kind of people?" I ask.

He shrugs and I laugh. We walk down the airplane steps and we climb straight into the car waiting for us at the Tarmac.

Once safely inside and the car starts to roll, I say,"Do the boys know about...."

Niall blinks,"they know your sister is in the hospital and that's all."

I nod and Niall grips my hand.

"Everything is gonna be ok. Trust me." He says. I turn to him and peck his lips.

After 45 minutes we arrive at the hospital. I rush in with Niall towing behind me. I rush up to the desk.

"How may I help you?" The lady says.

"Katy Hanson." I say quickly.

"Ok have a seat right over there. Her parents are in there with her and we need to wait for them to come out before we have anymore visitors."

Niall grabs my hand and we sit down in the sterile seats.

Some little girl, probably around 5 with no hair kept looking at us, well Niall. She starts the point excitedly and her Mom shakes her head.

"Niall." I say nudging him. He looks up from his lap.

"Yeah?" He says in that adorable accent of his.

"See that little girl over there? I think she's a fan." I say softly and try to discretely point at the girl.

Niall jumps up and grabs my hand and pulls me towards her.

"Niall! We haven't announced us to the public yet."

Niall stops,"it's not like she has a twitter account."

I tilt my head to the side a bit. Well that would make sense.

"Hey sweetheart." Niall says bending down to the girls level. I smile at the Mom whose seen to have had the worst of it.

"Are you Niall Horan from One Direction?" She asks in a soft voice.

"Yeah I am babe. What's your name?"

She smiles,"My name is Mackenzie. Can I get a picture?"

"Sure Mackenzie."

Niall poses with Mackenzie and gives her a hug.

"Is that your girlfriend?" I hear her try to whisper.

"Yeah babe." Niall whispers back.

"I wish I was as pretty as her." She attempts to whisper again.

I smile and fell my cheeks blush.

"Aww you are as pretty as her. Believe me babe."

She giggles and attempts to whisper again,"Don't let her go. I want you to marry her. She's really pretty."

I can't help but smile and blush when I hear that. I hope all directioners are like that. Niall gives her one last hug and then I see my parents emerge from the hallway.

"Mom! Dad!" I say and run towards them bringing them into a hug.

"How are you sweetheart?" My dad asks trying to make small talk.

"Good... How is she?" I ask quickly.

"She's still in a coma." My Mom says.

Niall buts in,"She'll be alright Mrs. Hanson."

My Mom smiles,"You must be Niall.call me Anne."

My Dad continues to frown. "Dad." I basically growl at him. He sticks his hand out."Nice to meet you Mr.Hanson."

My DAd nods sternly,"Listen son, my daughter still a virgin and if I find out that she's pregnant before marriage. The results won't be good." I feel my cheeks blush a deep red. He started discussing my sex life! Really?! Niall turns red also. My Mom gives him a look.

"I-of course Mr.Hanson." Niall stutters.

"I have a big question for you." My mom says.

"This better not be related to my sex life." I mutter under my breath. Unfortunately my Dad heard me.

"SO YOU'RE NOT A VIRGIN?!" My Dad squeals. My cheeks flush red and everyone looks at us. Oh my god Dad.

"Dad!" I scold.

"Answer the question." He says lowly.

"Dad I'm a virgin. We've been over this." I say annoyed and embarrassed.

"Right." My dad said awkwardly.If my Dad ever found out I have had sex, WHICH I HAVEN'T, lets just say there would be no Skylar Hanson.

"Anyway." My mom says clearing her throat awkwardly,"When Katy wakes up she won't tell us anything, so we were wondering if you could possibly take her with you.... Back to England?"

I look at Niall and he looks back at me.

"I'm not trying to get rid of her... I just feel like she needs someone in her life." My mom says quickly.

I nod.

"Niall what do you think?" I ask him.

"I've always wanted a younger sister!" He says excitedly.

"So that's a yes?" I ask him.

"Yeah we have a guest room." He says.

I look at him in shock and he winks at me. I just roll my eyes. He told me there was no guest room! Well played Niall. Well played.

The Doctor approaches us,"She should be waking up any minute now."

"Mom how about you go back to the house and pack, and Niall and I wait for her to wake up."

My Mom nods and grabs my Dad pulling him out the door.

Niall and I walk into her room. The figure in the bed is not my sister. Her lips are pale, her skin is pale, she's just pale.

I grab her hand although she has all these IVs hooked up to her.

"Please Katy please wake up." I whisper. Niall places his hand on my back and starts to rub it l.

"Niall I would be crying, but there's just no more tears left."

He nods understanding me.

I small rough voice breaks up my thoughts,"Sky?"

I turn to see Katy.

"Oh Katy." I say pulling her into a hug.

"I'm sorry. I just-" she starts to cry and I cut her off.

"We can talk about this later on the plane ride."

"Plane ride?"

"Your coming to London with us."
